I always find it odd how the xbox outselling the ps3 in the USA every year is news but the ps3 outselling the xbox globally every year isn't news.

The 1.4 patch fixed the issue for most people. The patch didn't add more RAM to the ps3! It was a software issue not a hardware issue.
There are still a few issues for people who play the game for an extremely long time. Now both the ps3, and xbox 360 have similar lag (they both have problems if the game is played an extremely long time).

Did you notice that when PC games started including DRM the PC game industry started to shrink?
EA started online passes, and more restrictive DRM for consoles since 2010. Guess what year EA's revenue started dropping?

Hopefully with the larger disc size on ps3 they can release both Witcher 1, and 2 on a single disc.

If you are only interested in the story why not just read a book, or watch a movie?
I stopped buying PC games because of DRM. I doubt that was the industries intention.
Why does it matter who started it?!
If customers stop buying games that do this companies will stop doing it.
