.... your comment rules you out as one of the "Nice" people.
Will Capcom forgive the managers that put these policies in place?
Maybe they shouldn't! Maybe the best way to fix Capcom is to fire those people.

I'm a software developer.
I understand that on release day the capacity for users will be higher than it will ever be at any point afterwards.
I also understand that users have every right to expect a product that works.
Spikes in server capacity has been solved by companies providing support for a large number of servers that are rented for a limited time.
If you need a cluster that contains ...
Poorer still are the unfortunate gamers who bought the product only to discover they can't play the game.
If gamers could play Diablo III they would be. The reason they are pissed off is they can't play the game!
A simple way that Blizzard could have avoided this issue is ensured that their game could be played on release.
@xristo
What would you rate a game that you just bought that you couldn't play because the game servers wouldn't let you start the game?
I have no doubt that *IF* you can play the game it would score much better than zero but that's not the experience a lot of gamers are getting right now.
I think a zero rating for a game that doesn't let you get past it's log in screen is accurate. Hopefully Blizzard will fix this issue s...
I heard the error37 boss fight is insane!
A lot of people couldn't get past it.
@glennco
EA took away their servers so they could charge people for multiplayer servers.
This caused a lot of problems because users were having difficulty getting into games. If they did get into a game they were experiencing issues like getting kicked from games.
I wouldn't call that the best multiplayer experience.
EA was recently forced to bring their servers back online because their actions hurt the BF3 online commu...
... and this is why there should have been an offline mode.
I didn't even buy BF3 because it's EA.
This isn't the first time they screwed multiplayer gamers in an attempt to make more money.
....
I really liked the demo but it's a Capcom game so I won't be getting it on release day.
I'll wait to see if it contains disk locked content or not. If it does then it's either a bargain bin purchase or maybe I'll just skip it completely.
I always find it odd how many people feel victimized by DLC.
If you don't like it then don't buy it!
I've been not buying DLC for years!
The worst part is $1300 doesn't include disk locked content. That's extra!
@BattleAxe
OMG. I wasn't sure if "a guy" had any creditability but "another guy" is definitely on the level so it must be true! ;-)
The log in delays are going to be a problem because there is no offline play for Diablo III.
I expect a lot of people are going to be furious when they discover they can't play the game they purchased.
Come on ... this is Activision. Of course they would sue themselves!
A console is useless without games to play on it. If a person can't afford $200 for the entry level console how are they going to afford to get games for it?
I voted with my wallet.
The real question is how many people didn't buy the product because of what capcom did. That is the number that matters in this debate it's also the number we don't know.
If 1% of the people who were going to buy it didn't get it then barely anyone cared. If 50% didn't buy it that's a large amount. You can't just look at the total sales.
Umm, I'm a programmer. The number of current threads does have an impact on the performance of the system.
It's not the only thing that affects performance but it does contribute.
