Maybe Sony is going to use this as an excuse to start charging for psn access. They will likely say that without revenue to pay to maintain the servers that this type of thing will happen again.

DRM: a technology that prevents people who legally bought a game from playing the game but does nothing to prevent piracy.
I heard that people are buying the ps3 version of Portal to get the code for the pc version on steam then immediately selling the ps3 game back to the store! Interesting way to get a discount!
I doubt that is what Valve had in mind!
To be my friend you need to be a criminal, and be a paranoid jerk!
If the license said "We will brick hackers PS3's" I wouldn't care but that's not what it says.
It says they can brick anyone's PS3 that violates the code of conduct. Give out your real name on PSN = bricked ps3. Use a peripheral that isn't licensed (how would I know?) = bricked ps3.
No
In portal you play a person that is in an experiment ran by a computer. To get to the next level you need to solve puzzles using a portal gun that allows you to shoot two portals on walls. When you pass though one portal you come out of the other one.
One problem is the computer that is running the experiment is trying to kill you! However, if you pass the experiments you get cake!

Q. Why Aren't You Talking About This Game?!
A. I never heard of it before.
It looks impressive. Looks like I have another game to buy.
When companies make a game that is incomplete and requires purchasing additional DLC to complete the game I don't buy the game.
For $350 I can buy an entry level laptop that can run more games than the NGP!
Hopefully Portal 2 sells well.
The game industry tends to stay away from games that don't fit the standard game types. If portal 2 sells well I expect a lot more puzzle games to be created.
This is a reply to imvix (there is no reply button on his last post for some reason).
"Up until now i have had no issues with DRM that have prevented me from playing my game and i only game on PC, It happened to me few months ago when i wanted to play max payne 2 the game woulnt work so i found a crack for it (such solutions work on PC however when you are stuck on console then you are stuck there is no solution). With console it just renders your entire library unplayab...
The video is about permanent death.
Would you like Demon's Souls if each time you died you had to start over from the beginning?
"Lol but Consoles themselves are a DRM. Atleast with PC you can play your games for a very long time."
A lot of my old PC games don't work on my new computer.
"With PC sure there are some issues with DRM however in general its hardly ever stopped me from playing my game."
So PC DRM has prevented you from playing some of your PC games!

I'm passing on Mass Effect 3.
EA banned a person from playing his legally purchased Dragon Age II because EA didn't like a comment he made in a forum.
When I pay for a game I expect to be able to play it.
I didn't buy Dragon Age II because I heard EA banned a user from playing his legally purchased game because he made a post on a forum that EA didn't like.
If I buy a game I expect to be able to play it. EA disagrees so EA doesn't get any more money from me.
Comparing pac-man and Crysis is absurd. There is no way Crysis even has a chance at matching the graphic engine in pac-man!

I expect Sony will use this to justify charging people for PSN access soon.
