The name was probably reported several times, you can report users on PSN.

It probably passes initial check from Sony, but offended other online players.

Thats the only reason I could see it taking 4 years for them to act.

EDIT: LOL, Sorry guys, I was referring to World numbers, these numbers on the site don't include America, Japan, etc...

Apologies, I can't edit my old comment now, so I'm stuck with it.

Wow, VG is getting more off on their estimates everytime.

GT5, announced 5.5 million sold, they have 3.
Kinect announced 8 million shipped, over 5 million sold. They have 2.something million Kinect Adventures, which comes with every Kinect.

When will they stop reporting numbers?

At above

I was using that logic just as an example. I can see where it would be flawed.

But regardless, sales do not equal quality, thats what I was going for. I hope you at least saw that in my comment.

Why did their "sales" figures show 8 million Kinects then?

Would that not mean 8 million "sold", passed tense of "sales"?

Look, it really doesn't matter what they reported, read my first comment at the top of the page for my view on the subject.

People need to stop thinking that these companies are reporting numbers in "sneaky" ways to fool us gamers. Sold to retailer is first priority for a compan...

True, that was a very stupid myth.

Hey, Wii Fit is the best game ever, OMG, Its sooooo much more fun that anything else I've ever played. /S (Big S for emphasis)

Sales do not equal quality. Even by those standards, high quality products usually sell less than low quality products. How many Lambos you see on a daily basis compared to Hondas?

Uncharted = Lambo
COD = Honda

It should a be a rule to read the article first haha. Someone suggested that the other day.

About RAM, plain and simple, not disc space, read first please. Why else use the site if your not reading the material on it?

5522d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

they are disagreeing with you because you don't understand the article. Its about RAM, not disc space, which it seems you a clearly referring to.

Funny you say that artynerd

I have a 67 inch tv and don't notice what your talking about.

Also, doubting real time? What about Cryengine 3, which is supposed to be all real time, all the time, on PS3 and other home consoles as well as PC?

It is possible, GOW3 did it.

Honestly I expected this, but regardless, if the product is in demand it is selling. So 8 million shipped today, 8 million sold eventually, probably sooner than later. Either way still impressive.

I have to admit, even though the advertising blitz was annoying at times, seeing 3 kinect commercials in a row, AHHH. It seems to have been quite effective.

Credit is due where it is due, and thats to Microsofts marketing department, bravo.

It is the superior way to view 3D content, and will be for a few more years, how is it doomed?

5522d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yea, thats what the problem is with these early models. They aren't refined enough to offer a wide range of viewing angles.

Just watches Sony's CES conference though, they seem to have TV's that can do 3D without glasses, only prototypes right now, that can offer a wide variety of viewing angles. At least thats what I got out of it, since they said living room viewing angles or something like that.

Usually when tech is first to the market its no...

Spenok

Logically it does make sense that playing some kinect games would lead to disc scratching. What if the Xbox falls do to vibration? Some people still stand theirs up, that would lead to disc scratching.

Thats one example that makes me think this is true, but not really Kinect's fault, just the Xbox's cheap drive.

Triple A game doesn't really depend on scores. Or at least thats the other way of looking at it.

Because you've been getting more from every other console?

Why do people expect so much? I'm grateful that there is an update feature for this generation of home consoles.

Get a foot and want a mile.

Cool video,

But for you comment, last I recall I remember reading that Kinect can use up to 30% of the processors power alone in some instances. I don't remember RAM info, but I wouldn't call that "very low resources".

Thank you, just thank you.

I don't understand why PC gamers act like higher resolutions make games better anyways?

5525d ago 8 agree7 disagreeView comment

If you played GT5 you'd know there isn't a RPG style damage system.

Simply put, the cars that are unlocked at higher levels have more detail put into them and therefore display greater VISUAL damage.

Everything else about the game is constant besides the AI becoming more aggressive.

That rumor about damage being unlocked was a misinterpretation. A car unlocked at the start of that game damages the same when your level 10, 30, an...
