Since LAIR is a good game I guess that means the PS3 is good too. I agree.
This list is horrible. LAIR isn't a bad game. No way does it deserve all this hate from the lame media. Just more Sony hate is all it is. How about putting Assassin's Creed on the list instead? A very buggy and overhyped game.
The game just came out. I can understand wanting to be able to use mods but maybe those people who are upset should start off playing the game and add the mods later.
I agree. And 2008 will be The Year of PS3. So many great games coming out all year. I don't know of a single 360 exclusive coming in 2008 anyone really cares about. The PS3 is starting its second year. The second year for the 360 was its big year. The second year for the PS3 will make this year look mediocre. This time next year all the 360 fans will be lining up to get a PS3.
This is what's wrong with the Web and with people who don't know what they're talking about. This guy is just spreading lies made by another group. That study was most likely paid for by Toshiba or someone pushing HD DVD. Too bad there isn't a law that says you have to list who paid for your study. This is why you can't trust research. It always ends up making the customer look best.
Why shouldn't our expectations run wild? It's not like Famitsu throws 39 out of 40 at every game. They seem to be one group that takes reviews seriously. If they think Prologue is that good it most likely is. GT3 on the PS2 was great so I think Polyphony Digital will really do amazing things on the PS3.
GT5 Prologue is far from a demo. There's a demo of Prologue. Prologue is part one of a two part game called Gran Turismo 5. And it's Sony's way of getting their online racing working for the final game. Now run along.
Maybe Famitsu will do what some magazine or site did with their Super Mario Galaxy review and give GT5 a 41 out of 40. Did you see SMG got an 11 out of 10 by some idiot? How do you seriously give a number higher than your highest score?
There was also a demo of Prologue but only in the Japanese store. Maybe the US store will get it soon. That demo is free.

I don't consider them lazy. I just think PS3 games need to be developed from the start for the PS3. If you develop the game for the PC and 360 and port it to the PS3 you'll get a good game but not a great game. A lot of developers are now coming out and talking about this. Burnout Paradise is going to be a great PS3 game. On the 360 it should be a decent port. You want the real game though get the PS3 version.
Too bad Bioshock isn't on the PS3. Then it could be great instead of just good.

TOM - Don't be so gullible. The research firm that did the study did it for someone. Not for the hell of it. And I see nowhere that says who paid for the study. Real research shows all the details. Fake research like this makes their customer look good.
This research report is very suspicious. I looked up their site and I can't find who paid for this report. They have a section on who some of their customers are but of course no names are listed. Just a bunch of generic garbage. Anyone want to bet this report was paid for by Toshiba? I don't trust any of this silly studies.

Isn't the 360 version buggier than the PS3 version? I don't have either but saw a video of the 360 version and the main character had a clone of himself running around. No mention of that in the PS3 version.
I've never even heard of this game myself. There's too many games to keep track of. It seems like a lot of other games though. It probably won't end up as big as the developers wanted anyway.
I think you're confusing it with Sony's game called Eight Days. Is that the game you were thinking about? It was shown a lot for a while but never any actual gameplay. Some great gunfights and a gas tanker truck that fell over and slid into a gas station. This isn't that game though.
If you're talking about Ratchet & Clank Future, Gamespot blew that review. They gave it to a sports nut to review. You don't give a big game to someone who hates the genre. I wouldn't have a problem with that score if Gamespot cared enough to have a real review. But then, Gamespot sucks anyway.
Those games aren't garbage. Other games should be on the list instead of them though. But then I doubt most real gamers read Maxim to figure out which games to buy.
