"if you can honestly say that sony's network is better than live than u dont know anything at all thats all im saying"
I assume that was meant for me. But where did I say that? I was talking about Microsoft's server software and how buggy and easily attacked their servers are. That doesn't mean Sony's network is better. If gamers want to pay to play on Xbox Live go ahead. Just be ready for more DDOS attacks like this one. Hackers love to attack Microsoft. If there's s...
The 360 seems way too fragile. Why do you have to worry about so much? My PS3 is fine and I never have to worry about all that stuff. I am careful with it anyway since I always make sure my consoles have breathing room and don't put them on the carpet but his list just seems like too much. If you really have to worry about all that the 360 is in trouble. Most people just can't be bothered with so much stuff.
Is this thing a game? I thought after watching a couple minutes of the video it was just some kind of cartoon. I didn't watch the whole video. Do they ever get around to actual gameplay? It does look pretty crappy.
Just because it's the first time it happened doesn't mean it's the last time. Be ready for this to happen a lot. It was a DDOS attack. Microsoft software is just too easily attacked. I doubt they can solve that problem in one week. It didn't happen before but now that it has I'm sure it will start getting around to plenty of hackers and they'll start playing their own games with Microsoft.
Maybe they don't deserve anything. If you're dumb enough to pay Microsoft to play online you deserve to not be able to get online. Microsoft software is very buggy and not secure. This appears to have been a DDOS attack. At least that's what Microsoft supposedly is saying. If that's true it's because they use their own software on their servers. If they used Linux this probably wouldn't happen. The server software is just too easy to attack.
I think Xbox Live gamers better get ...
Wow, so far this rumor gets lame rumor of the year award. A job listing that doesn't even say the job is only for the one game wants someone with PS3 and 360 experience and that means the game is also coming out on the 360? Too much. You lame Xbots are losers. Get over it already. You aren't getting MGS4 and you aren't getting this game either. Just buy a PS3 already. Then you won't have to get bored waiting for your 360 to be returned from the repair shop.
Why is this posted on this site again? This same story was posted two weeks ago. This thing is old.
Xbox Ultimate? Too much. Microsoft is silly. Even this piece of garbage can't compete with the power of the PS3. Now, if they included the HD DVD drive with the first 360 then I'd say they're better but we all know this won't help the 360 for games. So it helps Toshiba. So what. That isn't for the games. I recommend anyone looking at the 360 to stay far away from this junk. If you want the ultimate console just buy a PS3. At least it can use the Blu-ray drive for games.
TheRoundPeg - I agree Dean Takahasi is a writer and not a reviewer. But then, that's true of just about every game reviewer on the Web now. It seems like every site has some numbnut review games. Dean Takahasi though is a Microsoft fan. He even wrote books on the Xbox. He seems more like a game reviewer when it comes to the 360 than most reviewers. I guess from now on he'll just need to email his review to Microsoft to get it approved.
Wow, I always knew Dean Takahasi was a Microsoft fanboy but this is just bad. He wrote a review and gave his opinion and Xbots forced him to apologize. This is why I no longer trust any reviews. This just proves they aren't worth a thing.
That list is confusing. It says releases for Jan. 8th. It lists Burnout Paradise. That game comes out late January. Is the list for January 8th or all of January?
Wow, an internal HD DVD drive in the 360? That would show Sony. Not! Microsoft is stupid. They released the Xbox 1.5 too soon. The HD DVD drive is worthless in the 360. Sure it could help Toshiba but it will do nothing for the 360. Games won't use it so who cares.
Wow, this story must be true. It's on an Xbox fanboy site and they talked to an unnamed Konami distribution rep. Even though Kojima has denied this for a long time if a distribution rep says it's so it must be. (rolls eyes)
"SEEing how crazy sony fans are i can betany thing 90% of those complaints are sony trolls whining just fact they are really liek rabid dogs"
So what you're saying then is Xbox gamers are either too dumb or too timid to stand up to Microsoft and demand compensation? If you pay for a service and can't use it you at least deserve some kind of compensation. Even if it's just some points added to your Xbox Live account.
I don't blame them for being mad. If you pay for something you should be able to do it when you want to. A lot of people have vaction time right now and want to play online. Microsoft better do something to compensate them. At least if the PS3 network has problems like this gamers didn't lose anything since online gaming is free. IF you want to charge for it you better be up. I'm not bashing Xbox Live, just saying if gamers pay for it and can't get on they should get some money back.
...
That was a waste of a minute of my life to read that. Why is this even on this site? It isn't news and it makes no real sense. The updates serve a purpose. Sony isn't releasing them or having the publisher do it just to ruin PS3s.
I bet that idiot the Wii won't be the media darling in a year. The games are all crap. The sales are horrible. Big deal if the Wii is selling, the games aren't.
As for this garbage about the Wii being stable, of course it is. It's years old technology. No reason for stability problems. Stability problems are caused by too much heat. Heat is one problem the Wii won't have. Injuries for Wii gamers, now that is a big problem.
"everyone should use linux"
I agree. Right now as I type I'm rebuilding my PC. I'm putting XP back on it but also a Linux distro. Now I just need to figure out which one. The biggest problem I had before was getting my wireless connection to work. Has any Linux distro solved that problem?
This is funny. I clicked on the link to read the report and after a minute got a server is too busy error message. I guess Microsoft must have upgraded their servers to Vista and now they don't work anymore.
What morons. The RIAA is trying to kill the music industry. I don't download illegal music. I don't believe people should. I do own a lot of music CDs though and have them on my iPod. And I should have the right to do it. I can show the RIAA all my CDs if I have to. They need to keep this dumb idea out of lawsuits. Maybe Apple will sue them to try and stop it.
I just hope we don't have any judges dumb enough to side with the RIAA.
