I don't know. He said it isn't really a full game. It is a demo but it's better than a lot of racing games that have been released. I don't really see it as a demo. There was a GT5 Prologue demo. It was free. This is more a full game. Sony is being nice and letting us play GT5 maybe up to a year early. I don't mind paying for that. Most games aren't worth it but GT is. For people who don't like paying for a limited version of the final game you can just wait for GT5.
I agree with this guy. I could care less about the points in a game. I like how Ratchet & Clank Future did it though. In that game you get skill points. They don't get you anything really but if you get them all you get 100% in the game. I want them just to make me play the game more. But it should be a great game first. Then have you do things to get the points. I guess a lot of developers are using it as a way to get gamers to play their boring games. No thanks on that.
"Sony help fund it but IBM developed it and produced."
You're 1000% wrong. Obviously you know nothing about the Cell. All three companies had engineers get together and work on the Cell. In fact, that made it complicated because they didn't all speak the same language. It was a huge project that got some of the best engineers from all three companies together. That's why the Cell is so powerful.
"LETS not forget that ibm tryed to sell the cell to computer manifactures for use in gaming and they declined stating core duo processor are far mor epowerfull for gamin why do u think no computer is using the cell ?"
What are you talking about? IBM never did that. If they did prove it with a link showing this because I've never seen anything saying IBM tried to sell the Cell. Not for what you say anyway. IBM is mostly in it to help Sony make the PS3 and they're makin...
You're a moron. The Cell was designed to handle all kinds of multimedia applications. That includes everything from video to games. The Cell is a supercomputer even. There are scientists who are replacing their expensive systems with a few Cell processors and saving a lot of money.
What this proves is it's a powerful processor that can do anything. It doesn't prove it can't do games. So get a life loser.
Did that Blu-ray case get thrown out? I believe it was about the color of the material in the disc or something? Way too many stupid cases. We need to penalize anyone who files a frivolous lawsuit. Maybe the defendant gets paid all legal costs, but double it.
The the the the the the the.
By the way, do you take Paypal?
"yes because microsoft hasn't been sued for many other things in america? its not xbots its that americans like to sue people its the new gun."
This problem isn't about Americans liking to sue. It's about our idiotic patent and trademark system. This idiot never should have been given the patent to start with. Did he even make an actual product or just decide the gaming industry would go this way and patent the idea?
I think holograms will one day be us...
If this is true maybe Microsoft should start asking people to buy a PS3 and get off Xbox Live. This sounds like an easy copout though. We just didn't expect this much traffic. Come on Microsoft, you know how much traffic you get and how many servers you need. If you made this big of a mistake you really don't know what you're doing.
I agree. Did all the Sony haters go on vacation? Or maybe they're still on vacation?
What's with that guy? Is this even worthy of being posted? GT5 Prologue and GT5 will be the best racing games ever. PEriod. On any console or PC. Best PS3 driving game?
And the PS3 hasn't been out that long so how can it seem like forever?
Bwahahahaha. This funny. Billy boy, you're too much.
This is why I'm done with PC gaming. I don't want to keep upgrading my PC every year to get the best graphics. Make this game for the PS3 and it will be as good if not better.
How do you know what's undetectable? You have no idea of what they did when the designed the 360. It's possible they have a sensor that expects a certain tempature and if it's a lot cooler it will say the 360 was modded. Maybe it's undetectable, maybe not. You just don't know.
I have to agree with both of them. And anyone thinking about buying a Blu-ray player right now should just buy a PS3. Even if you aren't a gamer. It's really the only Blu-ray player ready for profile 2.0. And it's the easiest player to upgrade. Plus, the non-gamers might see a game or two they want to try out in the future. I know a lot of car nuts who bought a PS2 just for GT3.
No, thanks to the PS3 really. The Wii isn't helping that much since you can't find it and Gamestop isn't getting that many. The 360 is just selling like it did a year ago. The PS3 is the console that helped big this Christmas.
There will be a few big games released earlier but overall most of the big games come out at Christmas. I'd rather see them spread out over the whole year. This goes back to gaming being for kids. If that was still true then Christmas would be the right time. I think a majority of gamers now are adults though. I know I can buy a game I want no matter what time of year it is. If 20 games come out at once I won't buy most of them. I might buy a lot of them though if it's two or three a month.
This is really lame. Sure single player is important too but UT games are about online play. I bet 99% of people who buy the game don't care if single player is redundant. I hate when reviewers talk about how Ratchet & Clank Future isn't as good as it could be because of no online play and I hate when they blast an online game because of something like this. Review games for what they're meant to be, not what you want them to be.
While this is good news for gaming I also see it as bad news. This will just prove that everyone needs to release their games at the Christmas season. So here we go. Another boring January through August. Please gaming industry, start spreading your releases out over the whole year. I bet your games will sell even better.
I find this story very hard to believe. Ars Technica isn't much of a site anyway. I think Ben is just overhyping the Wii. He probably just prefers it and feels bad it isn't getting much press this week. Nobody in their right mind would hook up a Wii to show off a really nice screen or even projector. Why use a console with last gen graphics to do that?
