I agree. This blog is blahg. It stinks. They say basically the PS3 is better than the 360 but the 360 has a better controller. I'd have to say the PS3 controller is better. Even if it isn't it's not like the PS3 controller is bad. That is nothing but opinion. Too much trash gets posted on this news site.
GamesR4fun - Why do you keep spelling as with an h? It's as, not has.
There's the name Dean Takahashi again. He told what he felt about Mass Effect and got into trouble with Microsoft so he had to retract his review. This story just proves even more he's part of the Microsoft hype machine.
Wow, Aussies sure get screwed. I don't think it's because Sony charges more than Microsoft for royalties unless that's different in each country. This isn't happening in any other country that I've seen.
Plasma used to cost well over $10,000 when it came out. In fact, I believe it was around $20,000. Look at plasma now. As technology matures it gets better and cheaper.
What a lame article. Of course this TV will sell. There are a lot of filthy rich people out there who all have to buy the latest gadgets. At 11 inches this TV is definitely a gadget. The thing will probably sell out in one week.
Don't believe rumors. The same thing happened with the PS3. For a long time rumors said the 2.0 system update would include XMB in-game access. Sony never said it. When it didn't happen a lot of people blew up at Sony. But they never promised it. Microsoft never promised the Ultimate. Rumors are lame actually.
Why would Xbots want the Ultimate to be released? It would just be another expensive 360 they'd have to buy and the built-in HD DVD drive would be an orphaned format soon. IT wouldn't be good for movies or games. This is actually good news for them.
""I think a lot of people would say it was the best new product of the year in terms of the neat, new things they're using in it. "
Neato. All the cool things we're using in it. Right. Vista is crap. I removed it from my home desktop and reinstalled XP and Linux. It's still on my laptop but I'm not happy with IE crashing all the time. My wireless connection seems to drop off a lot too. I'm not sure if that's Vista but it does happen. I don't see anything neat eno...
I just talked to Target and they are going all Blu-ray. Rumor back on.
"would you rather a loud fan or a Red Rings of Death...."
If you want both problems just buy a 360. The PS3 has neither problem. At least my PS3 doesn't have a noisy fan.
Why is this crap on this site? Who runs that site? It looks like it's just some 360 fanboy trying to make the PS3 look bad. I never hear noise from my PS3 no matter what I'm doing. I have to listen really hard to hear any noise. This just doesn't belong on this site.
I don't think Microsoft should release a Blu-ray add-on player for the 360. The HD DVD player was a mistake even. They can't use it for games. Adding it to the cost of the 360 means the PS3 is cheaper and can use the Blu-ray player for games which gives the PS3 a huge advantage. I just don't see how this would help Microsoft at all. It would just prove they made a big mistake. The 360 was released six months too soon. Waiting just six months would have allowed them to include an HD DVD drive....
"it will be relevant for later xbox's IF bluray becomes the standard format. We are years away from mainstream digital distribution and the "720" will have to make a hard choice. Pay your main competitor royalties for every BD sold and every console sold?"
If you think that's bad what about Toshiba? They helped make the Cell processor. They want the PS3 to sell well for that. But they're the main backer of HD DVD so every PS3 sold hurts them. That is one of ...
Maybe you should just stop wasting your time with downloads then and go to pay-per-view. A lot of movies are now out on pay-per-view when they come out on DVD. That would definitely be a lot better than downloading them illegally or on Xbox Live.
Who wrote the title for this story? I don't see anything in the actual story that says HD DVD still has an advantage. The only thing I see is HD DVD player manufacturers can move to dual format players and the fact the change doesn't happen for a few months. That was because Warner has a deal that ends in May. So they'll support HD DVD until that date and then stop. I don't see any advantage for HD DVD. Just a short stay of execution.
Did you notice we both got a disagree on this thread just for stating Prologue isn't a demo? Who is this loser doing that? What a moron they are.
What do you mean pay for a demo? Prologue isn't a demo. A demo doesn't give you much. Prologue is better than most full racing games. Go ahead and wait for the final GT5 if you want to. I'm going to be play GT5 Prologue all year. Have you ever seen a demo that gives you 16 player racing online? I haven't.
As for the article linked, I can't believe they didn't know that Famitsu review was a joke. I guess they don't pay attention. But Prologue is coming out March 18th? Since when...
Soon they'll have to add heart attacks to the list. With so many elderly play Wii games I'm sure that isn't far from happening. They should consult their physician before playing with the Wii.
Action - I can see Blu-ray approving it. If Toshiba makes a dual format drive it means they admitted they lost. It wouldn't sell of course. Smart consumers would see what it means. Blu-ray won. It would be a way for Toshiba to transition to Blu-ray players though.
