What's funny about these reports is you hear how well the Wii is selling. Sure, the console is selling. But what about the games? The Wii games overall have sold poorly. Casual gamers just don't buy games. I wonder how long it will take for the experts to notice this?

"a lot of people with older br players don't understand that they want be able to get the new internet use out of it.some br fans are saying that people want even use it,well if that was true then why did sony spend a lot of money so they could give it to customers."

It isn't Sony who added these features. It was decided by the whole Blu-ray group. It's actually made up of around 9,000 companies. Blu-ray was started by Sony but is made up of a lot of companies.

So did this clown patent his Wiimote idea? I bet I've had a lot of ideas that were made into products. He better at least prove he showed it to Nintendo and to people who were involved in the Wii-mote. I'm sick and tired of these lame lawsuits.

From what I've read the problems with the PS3 version of the Orange Box are exaggerated. There are some minor framerate issues but nothing to keep you from playing the games. It looks like EA did a decent job. For a port that is. That's the problem though. I don't really feel like wasting much money on games that are ported to the PS3. They won't use much of the PS3's power.

"I didn't buy Orange Box for PS3 because of what fat @$$ Gabe Newell said about the console. I picked up UT III instead."

That's a big reason I didn't buy it either. Also, I have HL2 on the PC and really, it bored me. I don't get what the big deal is about that series. It isn't for me at least.

I didn't buy Assassin's Creed either. Until yesterday that is. Target has it on sale right now for the PS3 and 360 for only $38. If the Orange Box goes down to t...

There's a Dungeon Siege movie?

You're right. Profile 2 requires extra memory and an Internet connection. But profile 2 won't really add anything to Blu-ray that keeps people with older machines from watching the movies.

I don't know how important these future features really are. I have a PS3 so I'll be okay but I don't buy movies to play these Java online games. The main reason these features are being added is to match what HD DVD has. Do most people care about the pop-up windows and other features though?

So you're saying Jack Thompson is the HD DVD of lawyers? :)

What a horrible idea. Use the Wii in PE class. Studies have already come out that say the Wii doesn't do anything for you if you use it to work out. Just make the kids do real sports and get some exercise. They can play games at home.

I don't like how they said US attorney before Jack Thompson's name. It almost makes him look important. Just say lawyer Jack Thompson. Attorney doesn't really belong in his title. It's more for really good lawyers.

Don't Aussies know about Burnout Paradise? I can't believe that game made the list. You'd think only games nobody really knows about would be on a list like that.

I'd say HD DVD has been having a fire sale for the last year. Hopefully the sale ends soon and HD DVD says good night already.

Xbox Live seems to be about dead though. Did it just max out on what it can do? It's been having huge problems for quite a while now. This isn't looking good for Microsoft. If it was a simple problem I think it would be back to normal by now.

And your writing gets a 10/10 from me. Very well written. A gold star too.

The better question to ask is where would that leave people who bought a 360? Angry, that's where. And down to the store to pick up a nice PS3. Gamers won't stand for that. It would be a huge mistake for Microsoft to do. Maybe you're Mr. Moneybags but most gamers aren't going to buy a new console every two to three years.

"lol what an idiot: Just 2 months ago, he wrote "Killing Off the Original Xbox: A Big Microsoft Mistake" "

I can at least agree with him on that one. The Xbox still had life left in it. The Playstation isn't as powerful yet it still gets some good games. Why kill the old console right away? Not everyone will upgrade right away. I think a lot of people like Sony because they don't kill off the old console right away. Sure the new games drop way off but you st...

Is that one of those joke sites where their articles are just parodies? I sure hope so. I just don't know what to think of what he wrote. He says it's not real but says it's based on reality.

I think the text at the top that shows part of this story shouldn't be allowed. It's false advertising. If you only read that and not the actual linked story you wouldn't see the beginning of the piece.

Here's the opening paragraph.

What do you mean less HDMI connections? Do you guys have no HDMI? Here in the US the PS3 has just one and has had one from the start. They didn't get rid of the connections. It does look like you Aussies get ripped off but I think tht's true for everything sold there. Are there many gamers there? If the market would double maybe the gaming companies would do more for you.
