If parents are really worried they could get a cabinet with locking doors and lock the consoles up in it when they aren't home. That would actually be best with younger kids anyway. They shouldn't spend all their free time playing games. They can do homework. Do chores. Go outside and play. Whatever. I think people use game consoles as babysitters and that just isn't good.

I'm listening to Criterion's latest podcast right now and they talked about why no music off the PS3 hard drive. One guy said you can't do it on the PS3 but another guy said that isn't true. They can do it. They're looking into it. I guess the real problem is Sony hasn't made it easy for developers to do it. They need new software libraries I guess to make these features a lot easier.

Why does everyone keep saying Naughty Dog took things from Gears of War? They didn't. They were working on Uncharted while Gears of War was being made. Just because Uncharted came out a year later doesn't mean Naughty Dog copied Gears of War. The only thing that is the same is you can hide and shoot around corners but Gears of War wasn't even the first game to do that. This is just lazy writing.
If this story is true someone better tell Capcom. I just noticed on their site under blogs that the demo will be out this week in the US for 360 and PS3. I'd think their official site would know the truth on this at least.
I find this rumor very hard to believe. Square Enix knows if you bring it they will come. A lot of people are just waiting for big games like FF XIII and MGS4. When the big games start coming out the PS3 will start selling by the millions. Why would you intentionally delay a game that could sell more PS3s? I just don't see that at all.

This is really dumb. They now say sometime during the next year. The game must be having a lot of problems if this is true. By the time it comes out there will be much better games to buy. This is one of those games that was supposed to keep us busy until Killzone 2, MGS4, GT5 and other big PS3 games come out. Now it might have to compete with all those games and GTA4.

It's way too soon to say goodbye to the PS2. It has lots of great games that are still worth playing. Too bad the Xbox was killed so young. It could have kept going another couple years at least. Sony isn't stopping their support of the PS2. What Hirai most likely meant was Sony won't be spending marketing money advertising PS2 games. The marketing people will be pushing the PS3. And why not? I'd rather have to buy a new controller for rumble than a new optical drive. You can add the external HD DVD drive to the 360 but if you do it still won't match the Blu-ray in the PS3 since games won't use it. So the PS3 is still way ahead of the 360 regarding add-ons.

What's really sad is Need For Speed Pro Street is so far ahead of Ratchet & Clank Future. R&CF is one of the best games of 2007 yet it's only around 750,000 so far. Shameful.
