Not seen anything that will get me hyped about it, a lot of grand ideas but until they're actually in a working model its just ideas on paper and cgi. Im not dismissing it since it has potential, but theres not a lot going to be shown in a first reveal to get me on board.
In reference to the video: No steam train pulls away with that kind of acceleration.
Sounds nitpicking but my point is developers can make things as pretty as they like but if they fail to put in basic thought and research they'll simply break the immersion with basic errors like that one.

Dont think its a good move. Digital distribution is the future, possibly even the generation after this, and with it used games will be gone. Would Sony or Microsoft really be willing to endanger peoples goodwill by enforcing such an unpopular move a generation early?
I dont think a console can "fail" within its first two years. Will the Wii U hit Nintendo sales targets? No. Will it still sell millions? Of course. And a couple of years down the line when the price is around the £150 mark people will pick it up as their second console.
Id like a next gen SSX please. No round the world Malarky, just one big mountain with a couple dozen laid out routes, the possibility to go top to bottom in one run and the option to go off track and explore the mountain in its entirity.
Unfortunately from the sound of it they'll be focusing on bringing Battlefield, Fifa, Madden and Tiger Woods to next gen first. Games like SSX will be a few years down the line I think.

Im a Playstation user and Id never buy an Xbox, Im quite open about that. The thing is I dont want MS to fail, their success this generation have pushed Sony to improve their offering. Would we have PS+ if not for live? The upgrades to the OS? However big a fan you are give MS credit where its due, they helped shape the PS3.

I think Sony will announce first, MS will rush for release first with Sony a month or two behind (in Europe that is, I reckon simultaneous US and Japan releases). Sony hope to jump on the hype train first to limit any damage a month or two's lead might cause.
Shipping with kinnect is an obvious and even a smart choice. Making it mandatory thats its on and calibrated? Anyone want to explain that to me?
I hate to go all conspiracy theory, but short of data collecting why would they need you to have kinnect running all the time? You didnt need it for the 360.
