Warband was much, much better. They have managed to do what big developers do and add new features that just break the game instead of build uppon their awesome original idea properly.
They need to revamp the menu system and add more intricate and unique content.

Assassin's Creed could be a lot more, but it's far from a bad game.
There have been loads of other great games over the past 5 years, but probably less than any 5 year period before that... until like 1980.
eg:
MGS4, Read Dead, GTA 4, Lost Odyssey, Halo 3
And then some egs for PC: CoD4, Stalker, The Witcher 1?, loads of small developer games
But anyway. Yeah, there are a load of crappy games that people & reviewers...

Yeah FF has an incredibly good soundtrack. Also check out the Lost Odyssey (aka ff13.....) soundtrack. And while I'm here, I'll defend the fact that ff12 is a great rpg in its own right (though it doesn't have Uematsu's music), probably more by accident than on purpose though.
Anyway, the most important develpers from ff1-ff10 make up the Mistwalker team (though M$ have basically bought them failure like they do to so many devs). Square ...

Funny, after I got that card I noticed the 8800GT was the most popular - but the 2 cards perform very similarly and use the same G90 nVidia chip and RAM sepcifications (performance varies more by the card manufacturer than the 9800/8800 discrepancy.
