"Rambo clones runing around healing and killing"
But unfortunately, that is what works best in BC2 :P
I used to snipe a lot, but then I realised the UMP is amazing - and quite easy to pop enemy snipers across the map with :D (on hardcore, of course)
or this! (superjail ftw)
Odd. KF is one of the few shooters where medics actually have little to do but heal people, which is how it should be. Medic is the best killing class in bc2 lol.
I need to play some more KF soon, such a brilliant game. It has really good feeling guns.
Well... in BC2 it's DICE's fault for giving medics the best guns:
nearly as good at long range as a sniper (there are a lot of bad players who always pick recon)
nearly as good at close range as an smg
better at any range than an assault rifle (the assault rifles don't do enough damage)
rarely have to reload
make the best sound :P (M60, Rambo style)
... and you can heal yourself after a random grenade blows up near ...
I just hope they build upon what SSX3 did, that game was a masterpiece.
It's called a bad host. Get over it or play games with dedicated servers :/
I've seen that happen loads of times in CoD4 and MW2 (on PC, because of the lack of dedis fail) too.
The host selection might just be particularly bad in BO, but I have noticed it is usually horrible in most games anyway (when I was in uni halls with fibre I would rarely be selected as the host in CoD4, when I was - everybody always had full green bars).
But l...
You do realise that all shooters have the same type of lag that you see in that youtube video... it's nothing unique to BO. I think halo uses client-side hit detection though (because if somebody has hacked it they are going to ruin the match anyway) but 99% of shooters have that natural lag.
I was talking about CoD 2 and 4 on the PC mostly, the hit reg is amazing when compared to counter strike or battlefield.
I played 4 on the 360 too, and the hit reg w...
Why do some people insist on saying Halo isn't good? (I am aware I'm not replying to anybody who said halo was bad...)
Honestly, it is one of the best FPS series of all time. I would say it is better than Half Life (and I am primarily a PC gamer, so that is saying a lot - I'll probably get beheaded soon). It's also better than any PS3 exclusive FPS by a long way (by that I mean Resistance and Killzone).
And really, graphics barely count for an...
"The likes of Mario Kart do exactly what they're supposed to do"
No. The new one has bikes in it and they are extremely overpowered - nobody uses the Karts anymore (who has learnt how useful the bikes are). So it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Double Dash was the pinnacle of mario kart :P
But anyway...
The only exclusives I was actually compelled to play were GOW3, MGS4, Lost Odyssey and Halo 3/ODST/Reach - I would...
Yeah but GTA and FF have a recurring theme with an actual artistic twist. CoD is just.... well, to be honest I never cared about the box art anyway :P
But FF and GTA do it right, if there is even a way to do it right.
CoD has really good hit detection :/
Infact, it's the best thing about the game.
Nothing at all interesting :(
Unless you like Bug of Buggy.
I bought it because they deserve the sales. But I got bored extremely fast, despite it being really funny.
The gameplay looks clunky/plain, but it will probably be worth buying for the really strange style.
When did Crackdown 3 come out?
Not always:
Riddick
Advent Children
Return of the King (amazingly good game)
There are a load of good star wars games (and bad ones)
Crackdown 2 yeah, total failure of a game.
yay, no more pointless CPU bottleneck (due to bad/inefficient programming in BC2)
Ok. Thats fine.
