Top 5 is a bit hard to juggle to be honest. Those 5 certainly deserve to be in a top list, but they aren't necessarily better than more recent jrpgs.
Who played those 5 games then played ff7 and said something like "omg theyve totally made the game nooby and casual now".
If it was a top 10 most of those 5 would be in it, along with some from the zelda series and more FF games.

ffs. PC gaming isn't just about graphics. It is about frame rate more than that, at least to me. Then you also have mouse input, mods, far wider selection of games, better backwards compatibility, superior peripherals, dedicated servers and it being on the same device that you spend a lot of time on anyway. And then if you are a system builder it gets a whole lot more interesting.
Graphics are only so important. And they are the only thing that Crysis 2 gets close to PC g...
There isn't more power left in the 360. When developers say that they mean they can optimise their games to better make use of the power that there is. That said though, yes it does mean there is more potential to come.
But the real issue is the DVD severely limiting game content, especially with the consistent drive for more realistic textures (take Rage for example).
Performance aside, if publishers stop pushing devs to keep remaking the same old things...

tbh, if they want graphics like the unreal demo they will need dual graphics chips custom engineered (fair enough they tend to be custom engineered in consoles). A 720 out, even q4 2012, would cost about $1000 to manufacture let alone retail (thats if they want to be able to run the likes of samaritan on it at 30fps, and ffs - I hate this 30fps rubbish).

GTA5 is already at a very late production stage, if they were hiring facial animation people now then it would need another few years in development.
Er, the 360 play and charge kit is solely designed to pull in more money to the detriment of the gamers. The ps3 controller uses a standard usb cable.
BOTH controllers use USB interface, the 360 just rearranges the pins so you have to use the overpriced microsoft stupid cable just so they can get more money from you for a non-product.
Also, the battery chamber on many 360 controllers often has random blips of power loss causing the controller to turn off and ...
It is hot, but the chip is fully capable of running that hot without any issues - it could lead to problems overclocking, but then you would go down the watercooled route anyway.

well, ps3's cpu is about 100% more powerful than the 360's for standard use and about 2000% more powerful if they do floating point crunching on it (standard cpus, even in PCs, are relatively bad at floating point if you compare them to Cell or a graphics processor). Hence why we hear people saying ps3 should offload some graphics to the Cell, but that can't really be done because consoles have feck all RAM which would be heavily in-use for graphics processing on the CPU.

If theres one thing they certainly could have done for PS3 it's use that extra Blu-ray space to have pre-rendered cut scenes (I dunno, just screencap them on PC lol). But then 360 fanboys would blabber on that it isn't powerful enough to render them etc. (heard that argument for exclusives before, but look at MGS4, it had the same reason as the 360 for having in-engine cut-scenes: not enough disk space)

The best way to do it would be to design a new scenario specifically designed for co-op play - so it's like the first 3 resi games in some way but free roam over mplay and specifically designed to be completed like that (well, there were multiple characters walking around wern't there?).

Yeah the ps3 triggers are total shit, but thats the only problem with the controller.
360 controller has retarded 3rd party battery cables that are designed just to make microsoft more money (they are usb with rearranged pins.....) - and for that, the DS3 is a far better controller hands down. It is also manufactured to a much higher standard.
