ddos is basically when hackers use a massive number of hacked-into home computers (a bot net) to all connect to a server at the same time. There is no way for them to filter the connections - even trying to do that would crash whatever is trying to filter them or crash network equipment/infrastructure.

Sounds like scaremongering - there is nothing Sony can do because people are watching vids or visiting blogs. I'd like to see them (or anyone) try, that is a court case they would certainly lose.

I have er... 9 console games this gen.
I had about 40+ ps2 games, 20+ xbox games and 10+ GC games last gen.
It's not just shooters, but games in general are just worse this gen. What happened to platformers? There are also less adventure and rpg games worth buying.
bfbc2 is great but it could have been far better, so much infact that it cannot be classed as good :P A BF game will never be as good as it should be because they are always wanting to release the next one before they care about finishing the current one. Hence the massive library of bugs on launch and severe balance issues they always have. Hopefully 3 changes things but I doubt it.

If the definition of "best looking" isn't all about technical things like poly count and shader complexity, then there are so many games that do it incredibly well. If it is all about tech, Crysis 1 still takes the gold medal - maby BF3 when it comes out (but knowing dice it will be all replicated models dotted about a terrain heightmap again).
By the way, that Witcher 2 footage doesn't have DX11 enabled but they have confirmed the game will fully support it...
