"Crysis 2, and while the finished product looks stunning, it left some PC gamers feeling short-changed"
Short changed? No, I just didn't buy it. The simple solution to console ports...
But anyway. The console version won't be hurt at all by how good the PC version is. The differences are going to be graphics, map size/scale/openness and dedicated servers vs p2p.
what?
I calculated that ps3 gaming would have been in general cheaper than PC gaming because of the peripherals and whole load of indie games I bought on PC. But if I resisted the urge and went for an equivalent gaming experience then PC gaming turns out about the same cost - That's taking into account that I would have to buy a TV for my PS3 because I would want access to my PC at the same time (ie, can't just use the monitor).
@Oner, I have never had to do any of this &qu...
Can't wait for competitive fps games to come out using this... mouse vs controller lol.
They sound like a decent dev studio. Probably the ONLY one that actually cares about their QA.
Yeah that does make sense. I keep forgetting that consoles have so little ram (main and/or video).
It's interesting that modern consoles have memory problems that affect things this deep into gameplay, that was something that plagued old systems.
Maby if they made their own engine instead of stealing IW's hard work (on an engine originally designed for PC)...
Utterly revolutional. Keep it up Rovio, we love you pushing the bounds of game technology day after day with long hours of hard work. /s
There is no tessellation in any of those screenshots (or at least, they havn't applied it well). Look at the bottom of the log wall on the left in the last screenshot. I think they plan on enabling tessellation soon enough judging by how they made that geometry - if they wern't planning on detail tessellation from the texture info then the logs would involve physical polygons at a pre-shader level.
I highly doubt TW2 uses deferred rendering... many graphics experts ha...
Allow inverted aiming then it's easy. But Capcom are too stupid these days to have a proper options menu.
"we just don't have any more memory to spare"
What? It's DLC.
One of the reasons I don't like shitty devs who don't put the options in the menu and force bad defaults on...
Good, they are doing it properly and sensibly. I wish more publishers/developers would take note of Valve's good example.
I'd probably prefer fable with a controller.
I'll still be using a 360 controller on PC though for this game...
Why don't they make another black and white and not aim it at 7 year olds this time?
60FPS, I'm gonna get Rage.
APB?
The hitboxes didn't even scale with character size or orientate with animations. If they couldn't even get that right then I guess that explains the root of all the other problems in the game.
"Plus I cant see someone in high school with a DS. "
lol what?
yeah
Interesting. Runescape is one mmo that have managed to cut down on gold selling, but it can still be done by exploiting the trading market thing.
WoW is incredibly buggy and has/had bugs that have been there for years.
SC/Diablo, I didn't find any bugs.
