It wont keep selling like hotcakes if the rumors are true about Activision charging to play COD games online.
Fanatec wheels are incredible wheels. You should check into them if you are a serious racing fan. I own 2 Fanatec 911 S and ordered a GT3 RS V2 for GT5. I use to own a G25 and a friend of mine has a G27. They are excellent wheels too but personally I prefer the Fanatec belt driven drive and the Clubsport (alloy aluminum) pedals are nothing short of amazing.
The Fanatec wheel doesn't just have force feedback but rumble on the wheel and the CSPedals have ABS feedback. Als...
Or a Fanatec GT3 RSv2 and 911 S.
I cant believe this is the game. The graphics look amazing. 2011 cant get here soon enough.
the majority here measure 24/7/365.
As for me? I am of the opinion and purchase of one. My own.
Don't care for reviews and the only sales that matter to me is that the developer makes enough money to warrant a sequel for games I enjoy.
You appear to have accomplished a lot my young padawan but do you play Forza 3 using a wheel or a controller? If you answer this correctly I will anoit you the status of Jedi gamer.
if you lived near by I would let you borrow one.
Compensate to latency?
Latency is gamings mortal enemy.
I HATE LATENCY!
Just the word itself makes me want to kick my dog!
Where the hell are you Bison?
Yes I know what selling at a profit means but the profit doesn't start unit you are in the black. You know, recoup the money vested.
You are going by the assumption that MS is making $50 per unit. I can't see how MS could be pocketing that kind of money with all they have invested into this device.
I would be blown away if it was more than $20 per unit. To be honest I would be surprised if they were selling Kinect at a profit at all. They are spe...
I was a little set back by them complaining about Move as well. I have a few friends that picked up Move and all of them said it was a breeze to calibrate and it's so accurate. If you knew one of my friends you would know Move would have to be easy to calibrate. The guy barely knows how to send email or switch video inputs on a sound receiver.
Overall they said exactly what I thought about Kinect. It works better than they thought but the games are just novelty games. I...
No offense but there are so many things you are not factoring into the equation.
What about production cost, research and development, testing, distribution, retail, taxes. Do you think distributors and retail stores sell them for free and give MS all the profit?
MS will need to sell a lot more than 10 million Kinects, regardless of software sales, just to start to reach the black. Don't forget further manufacturing, production, advertising, etc. Also...
This member above does have Kinect and a couple games to go with it. He sent me pics. He may come off harsh but at least he isn't a bullsh*ter. Nice display btw dtrain. I have that very setup in my family room.
I tried Kinect out today at a friends. Not my cup of tea but it does work. He bought it for his kids. They are enjoying it. He is too but tried to play cool guy and pretend he wasn't.
Price is the reason I don't get one. I don't see...
They have them at my local Walmart. Droppped by the elctronics department when I went to pick up my daughters prescription. Oh and I am a 360 gamer. I just am not getting Kinect. At least not until games come out that interest me. I walked by the department just to see if I would impulse buy one. I didn't but I definitely was tempted.
I only snapped the shot with my cell because I texted it to my wife (in jest) telling her "this looks tempting". She herself is...
All I have read leading up to the release of Kinect is how it's sold out every where weeks before it even launched. That MS wont be able to keep up with the demand and already fear shortages.
Fast forward to today, 24 hours after it has released and every store in my area has them in stock and a ton of online retailers also have them in stock and ready for purchase.
There is no doubting Kinect will pull in big numbers but don't you think it's...
Ghetto ass LG tv?
I personally don't own an LG. I am a Pioneer, Sony, Samsung guy myself but LG has one of the best rated gaming displays on the market for latency, ms response and input lag. Input lag being the most important.
LG doesn't have the best color reproduction but if you are looking for a good performing gaming TV you honestly can't do much better for the money.
Now his sound system is definitely GA.
The guy in that video is a riot. I mean it's not funny that he is so mad but a plastic mount for heavy camera? I wouldn't have even wasted my time once I discovered it was made out of plastic.
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought you posted before that you don't own Move.
I'm sure your kids are enjoying it. That is Kinects target audience for the most part.
Do you realize how many hearts you just crushed with that one link? You are cold.
They don't want to hear reality. The reality that yes Kinect most likely will get great numbers, but nothing like the lame sold out articles and massive demand that MS just wont be able to keep up with nonsense. Just look around online and see how hard it isn't to order one. Go to your local retail store and see how hard it isn't to walk out with one.
I'm sure Kinect will do well in sales but no one can deny it is not even close to the hype created by MS, media and BS sold out articles led people to believe.
My local Walmart, Best Buy and Target have plenty of them and if you look at online retailers you can easily find them. Both stand alone units and bundles.
