That's because not all companies allow their developers to take their time and make the best games possible intead of rushing them out to hit a date on the calendar and cash in when the market is hot.
I knew Criterion would knock it out with NFS:HP. They are a class company that obviously cares about puting out a quality product. EA better hold on to them tight. There are not many out there like Criterion.
When they said they wanted the test cars back I said, "mwhahahahaha! *tires screeech, 180 and gone*" <- instant classic.
Sony struck gold with him.
No doubt about it.
billbox2010, nice multi troll account you got there.
Are you already bored with petting and playing jump rope with Skittles?
60 million dollar budget for the most amazing racer we will probably see this generation. Now that is how you spend money properly instead of dumping nearly 10x that much into an advertising campaign while ignoring your core user base.
Sony gets it.
Okay people listen up.
GT5 is upon us!
Agreed
Come on N4G pony up and get rid of this crap.
If you took a poll I would bet the overwhelming majority of N4G members would want this site gone for good.
I have two classes set to take down choppers. As soon as I hear one is incoming I switch to my class to take them down if I don't already have it set. Once I get killed the chopper gets taken out. Sometimes I run and gun hoping to get killed just so I can take it out.
What's is more frustrating is having morons for team mates that run around out in the open and get gunned down several tmes just trying to get some kills. If they would just wait it out and hold down t...
That pretty much summed it up for me when I saw the title. I am glad it comes out the day before Thanksgiving though. It gives me an excuse to ignore my in-laws when they come over for Turkey day.
I will hide in the basement and only come up for dinner than crawl back to dungeon and turn some laps. The key is to use my headsets instead of my surround sound so I can pretend I didn't hear them when they leave.
No but it's still 3D and the game looks flat out amazing.
I personally can't wait to try it in 3D. Now all I have to do is purchase a 3D display and a PS3 camera for head tracking. If I am patient I will probably be able to get both in a bundle deal for Christmas.
I am a wheel racing fanatic and NFS doesn't support them. No cockpit views, no manual transmission, no wheel support or force feedback, no customisation.
Most racing games support wheels. Hell Shift wasone of the better wheels games I have played this generation. The FFB I got from Shift was excellent! I ended up playing and completing it on all formats.
NFS:HP is a full on gas and go racer.
I love pure arcade racers but they need wheel suppo...
Unless I am gaming online I pause the game the minute anyone walks in the room I am gaming in. It really is that simple. The rewind feature in Forza 3 cheapened the experience for me personally. At first I refused to use it but the deeper I got into the event list the more reliant I became on it. I would just go all out pedal to the floor knowing I could just hit rewind at any time and take a mulligan.
I conditioned myself to stop using it while waiting or GT5 to be release...
Sony top tier developers are in a league of their own and my expectations for PS3 exclusives are very realistic in that they are through the roof. I have not been let down yet and I don't expect Polyphony Digital to be the first. I think GT5 will be the best exclusive for the PS3 to date.
This is the genre I sink most of my money into when it comes to gaming. I am going all out for GT5 and I see myself turning laps in the world of Gran Turismo for years to come.
Either for hits or pure ignorance.
Take your pick.
On topic:
Nope, not one bit.
GT5 is going to be a monster.
Everyone I know is buying it. Some I know are picking up a PS3 just to play it.
I have nothing bad to say about the Playseat Evo. I just want to move up the ladder a bit. The Gamepod Evo runs about 1.5k shipped. The Playseat can be purchased for a fraction of that price. It's definitely the better value unless money is no object.
I still have a Forza 3 edition Playseat Evo. I am using it as a secondary cockpit in my basement when I want to escape my family for a little me time. I strongly recommend getting te slider for the Playseat and consider pi...
Maybe the 500 million dollar marketing campaign has a little something to do with it. /s
I have seen a ton of your videos. The one you just linked is new to me. That was funny. Isn't N4G an amazing place? You have proved time and time again that you own and play both devices yet anything less than a glowing opinion and you are attacked by N4G members like brain eating zombies.
The only thing that comes to mind is, what ever. <- Is that how you came up with your N4G user name. ;)
on topic: I don't know why but Adam Sessler is one of...
Well we all know who plays that card on N4G.
IGN, like most gaming sites, stop being relevant ages ago. If you need another persons opinion to validate yours then you obviously don't believe in your opinion to begin with. I don't own either but have played both for a fair amount of time. Clearly one is geared towards a narrow market while the other can be implemented to work with anything.
Since when is being compared to the Wii a bad thing? Last ...
The hardcore GT fans prefer the Logitech g25 and g27. A good affordable cockpit is the Playseat Evolution. That is how I played GT Prologue.
Now I am using a DIY cockpit with a Megan Racing seat, a Fanatec 911 S wheel and clubsport pedals. I ordered a Fanatec GT3 RS v2 just for GT5 but I probably wont receive it until a week after it's released. I waited too long to pull the trigger on it. Next year I will either have a custom built cockpit by a machinist or place an or...
visualb I could not have worded it better. You nearly nailed my thoughts on Kinect. I don't understand MS going this route and I didn't think this is what Kinect was going to be when it premiered at E3 in 09.
I tried it a few times for myself and it is exactly what I thought it would be after watching E3 2010. It's kind of neat but the novelty wears off rapidly and I find that it lacks immersion.
I don't care for the type of games that wi...
Which is all the more reason comparisons are usally useless. Why not use both consoles to their fullest capabilities if you are going to compare the two? By using component you are giving the 360 the advantage and taking away what the PS3 can do with their HDMI output.
Yet fanboys flock to these articles and consider them the holy grail only because it supports their bias. I have yet to see one comparison article look the way it does on my displays the way they do in these ...
Sony struck gold with Kevin Butler.
Was in the guy in the light blue shirt at he end of the video Jack Tretton?
I watch this show (1st n 10) on ESPN almost every day.
I was watching the day this aired. I knew somebody would make a story out of it when I was listening to them debate this.
The red head (Skip Bayless) has admitted several times before to never playing video games.
They were mostly viewing it more from an NBA league rules perspective than anything. This is how most people that don't game view violent games. Personally I think everyone (pol...
