NFS vs GT5 is about as good a comparison as Joy Ride vs NFS:HP. They have nothing in common except they have cars.
If you are a wheel racer there is only one choice, GT5.
NFS:HP is a gas & go game. Automatic, no manual shifting, no FFB support. Just gas & go. You really don't even have to use the brake much in HP.

You can tell that the majority of reviews barely played this game. I have about 20 hours logged in and I'm approaching level 20. Spent a lot of time tweaking and reading about the game. I have not even begun to crack the surface of what this game has to offer. You should literally put in around 40 hours before writing a review for this game.

Sorry swat but I am a Forza veteran and IMHO it is a lot better than Forza. This game is so much more divese and challenging than Forza it's not even funny. Forza 3 is a great game but nothing like GT5. There is something for everybody in this game. My wife even tried Karts and she loved it. My wife hates video games.

For real. This game curb stomps and other racer I have played this gen on a "console". And to you haters don't make me break out the photo's of all the racing titles I own and equipment I play them on. I have played them all on the PS3 and 360. Bar none this is the most diverse and best FFB wheel game I have ever played on a console.
I just installed the new patch and low and behold it actually works. Unlike most devs that patch gaes and they not only don't fix them but sometimes mke them worse.

This game has so much diversty that it will literally keep racing fans busy for months if not years. I have a feeling it is going to be one of those games I have to force myself to take a break from and show some other games some love.
I'm not made of money either but gaming is my only vice. Yes I do spend a lot of $$$, sometimes more than I should at times, but all my toys get a ton of use.

Get a FFB 900 degrees of rotation wheel and play a sim. I would bet my house you would think differently of sims. I am addicted to any racer that has good FFB support. I can't wait for this game. My cockpit is ready to go.

pimpmaster I have been asking similar questions since E3 2010. I don't get why core 360 fans are defending a device geared towards casual gamers and MS using valuable resources to market and support it.
I have logged about 4 to 6 hours on Kinect at a friends house. It is exactly what I thought it would be since E3 2010 but nothing like I thought Natal would be when it was announced at E3 09.
