do you think that sales won't go up for ps3 month after month once the heavy hitters begin to lay down the hammer? (crappy metaphor.. haha) it took a year and gears before 360 sales began to significantly take off. i fail to understand why people don't give ps3 the same chance.

september was a pretty dry month for ps3 sales. the anticipation of halo 3 would obviously overshadow anything positive for ps3. no arguments that september was bad.
however, i can't wait to see october sales though. the price cuts and high profile releases should buoy ps3 sales. heck, like 3 days after the price cut went official, sales jumped 700%...
gotta disagree worst. they gave it that score because it was half a game. no matter how you look at it, they rated the multiplayer very highly, but the lack of any single player hurt it.
they were being honest, something they did very often when Slate, Frost, Tokoya were around. (man, that was like, 5 years ago) then they got rid of Slate, and things just went down hill.
I still have their 5 year anniversary issue, and it was pure gold. i've since thrown out...

they killed my favorite game mag when they got rid of Chris Slate. now they're not independent any more, which means chances are they'll be garbage.
yeah, i watched a newish trailer just a little while ago, and it looks a lot better than it did to me a few months ago. its rekindled my interest for this game. it looks like it'll have a good story this time around, cause i'm a sucker for that lovey dovey stuff.
one qualm i have with the game: you can't just make Dante a boss and beat him. it doesn't work like that in the DMC universe..
granted, my game library didn't significantly grow until this summer/now, but i've played well over $600 worth on my ps3. and i know that in the next 2-4 months, my game library will expand even more. plus, my parents use my ps3 as a movie player. i plan on buying them Planet Earth in HD, cause i got a 1080p tv back at home.
and oh, haven't i been saying it all along? 1 year mark is when any console begins to take off.
doubt it'll look like that. capcom almost refuses to change up the formula for anything successful. seeing as how clover studios (RIP) was gifted enough to pull the Okami look off and do it well, i don't think the team working on SF4 will be able to do it as well.
but, it will be completely kickass if they do make the game super stylized like that. cause it look mad cool
they wouldn't do it. if they started to release games on HD-DVD, they'll alienate the 10 million people who already bought one. the price would undoubtedly have to go up, and theres no guarantee that people will buy it again.
hmm, instead of madden 07, how about madden 04. 2 bucks at EB or gamestop. best madden yet.
and yeah, wii edition of RE4. AMAZING. playing through it again on my friend's wii made my blood pump again. its a steal.
also, castle shikigami 2, ten bucks, new. raiden iii, 20 or 30 bucks. great games if you love shmups
i both agree and disagree with their comment. because with 100 million ps2's sold, chances are that those buying a ps3 will already have one, so BC isn't necessary, but at the same time, its sort of a hassle, because it is a feature thats very helpful for potential new customers because it alienates them from the greatest game library in modern gaming (baring SNES)
like i said, i'm perfectly content with my 60gb. best model out.

honestly, they did it because of the paramount exclusivity deal? its a good idea from their point of view, but from the side of the fanboys, who see that deal coming apart with all the pressure on paramount, it'll be Armageddon for them..

not to state the obvious or anything, but price cuts do help sales... basic economics. lower the price of something, the demand is bound to go up
anyways, its good news, even though Europe has historically been a Sony stronghold.
do you guys think that the trend will continue with the 40gb hits the US? maybe not to the same ratio as in europe, but i'm banking on sales to increase by a significant amount.

nothing gave the a thrill like that solo mission in 5 where you had to stay below 300 feet or something like that. one mistake and you were finished. does this game have any of those sweaty palm missions? and also, is the story good? because i enjoyed the canon that went along with the 2 other games i've played.
