Personally, i wouldn't welcome an apple venture into the gaming market. i actually liked the premise of EVEonline better than WOW. i've played wow a little (okay, a lot) last christmas when my cousin let me start a character on his account, but the openness in EVE is really appealing to me. it basically drops you in the middle of the universe and you make your way from there. unlike in WOW, where you have to establish a character, go through some of the basic structure before you're free to do as you like.

i'd rather have a company that shuffles around different specs of hardware because its trying to find the right balance between first tier and second tier hardware than a company that introduces new hardware features because their original product was subpar. This way, everyone that buys from company A at least has the same functionality for the current gen, where as company B has a split consumer base.

the previous two games received from IGN 9.1 and 9.3 scores. (i haven't played belkan war, so i won't comment on it, though it received a 8.8) and and this 8.4 score surprises me because IGN previously rated this series highly.
on topic: it really warps the plastic like that? in that case, it either generates way too much heat, or its made of very cheap parts. or both. my ps3 heats up its fair share, but i'd never expect it to warp the casing...

it does sound like a really good deal. they're using its media capabilities as an incentive and packaging what's arguably the best ps3 game with it to show it off. good move sony.
in my book, its AAA from the level of enjoyment i get from it. and how does saying that make me a fanboy? i have 6 bubbles for a reason.
and the flightstick.. i want it to handle as well as the ol' sidewinder back in the day.. haha. playing TIE Fighter with a joystick was a blast (or maybe it was some other game... it has been like a decade..)
