this actually made news? lol... from the external view, its missing 2 usb ports and the little nubs that indicate you can lift that thing to access the card readers..
my childhood friend of psm has been defiled.. kinda. but with the removal of Chris Slate and the departure of Stephen Frost several years ago, i just haven't felt the connection there any more. but i love their squareenix and konami sections though. i didn't subscribe to this mag for 4 years for nothing.. good to see they're still doing well
but didn't this editor only make it like 4 issues.. haha
i know it can use keyboard and mouse, but it hasn't been widely supported until just this generaiton
crytek actually is in development of a ps3 engine that's rumored to be amazing...
and at any given time there are more than a million people playing cs... and thats a 9 year old game.
console fps cannot touch pc fps. the reason why: lack of keyboard and mouse.
i'm very surprised you know about marathon. too many people think gaming started in 1998... i still remember blasting through marathon on my cousin's mac way back when in 1994 when i was 6.. holy crap i'm old. haha
but yeah, marathon was an absolutely stunning game. did so many things right in a time where there were almost no standards.
SOMEONE PAID M$ TO DELAY THE GAME SO IT WOULD BE RELEASED IN PARALLEL WITH THE 360 VERSION...
happy? haha
now, i'm going to get a crap load of disagrees and debubbled because people don't bother reading the actual middle of the post... oh well
but yeah, if its "near finished" why is it delayed.. oh well. i'll still buy it when it comes out. console version supports keyboard right? time for for uberpwnage of n00bs. (wow, i'll never spe...
ps2 era, then the snes/genesis era, then the current gen, then ps1 era.
justification:
i seriously got into video games during the ps2 era. snes and genesis: self explanitory. current gen, not deep enough into the games yet for me to enjoy it as much as i did the other ones. ps1 era: 'nuff said
i don't really mind paying full price at launch because i know hours to dollars, i've gotten way more than my investment back.
i don't want halo on ps3. because of the following reasons
1) halo is a xbox franchise. i wouldn't feel right playing it on my ps3. it'd be like playing god of war on 360. it wouldn't work.
2) if they did release a halo on ps3 that was superior to other versions of the game, we get all these egotistic elitist pricks that will plague message boards and the online community.
3) i'd much rather see a new IP developed by Bungie on any platform, rather to see them milk a f...
thats interesting. hopefully they'll have complete emulation via software when they get around to releasing 2.0, whenever that is.
but yeah, price drop is great, as well as two games. its a good deal.
but i'm sill uber satisfied with my launch 60gb...
its going to be really good, or its going to be mediocre. why? because the principles of the game are completely hit or miss. the interaction with the population, the scalable walls, the network you can make with people, are hit or miss. i'm hoping it'll be good, but i'm also prepared if it tanks.
Team ICO was limited by the hardware. this time around, the sky's the limit. with the care and precision they put into their games, i wouldn't be surprised if they came up with something absolutely stunning that no one expected and looked better than anything else available in the next 2 game generations (not console generations)
could you just imagine if they remade Shadow of the Colossus using a proprietary ps3 engine? think about the draw distances, the detail, the atmosp...
it theoretically is a sandbox game, so shouldn't it be unlimited? and yeah, gameplay times are always exaggerated. heavenly sword said 20 hours, xenosaga said 80 hours... the only true to estimate i've played was FFX, which said 40 hours, and it took me that long to do the core mission.
then i spent another 50 getting the best stuff. then the holiday 02 viewful joe demo decided to erase everything.
closer and closer to a confirmation. even though we know one's coming... i'm dying for anything, even just a fuzzy screenshot like the one they gave us of NICO...
clearly someone hasn't been keeping up with the mgs4 trailers. new gameplay elements like the camosuit, first person view, new control/camera scheme make the game just as good as, if not better than SC. what new feature has been shown about conviction? one where you can duck behind and throw furniture. not much innovation there.
but with the quality of titles dropping between now and march, that number has a relatively high possibility of happening. but still, 1+ million per month is quite an amount to achieve.. but price cuts and games should make that jump a little easier.
haha.. just remember i used to use knives only. holy crap, that was fun. took such skill and patience, but the mangled bodies were worth the effort
wow.. that was soooo lucky.. haha. none the less, highly entertaining. like the time my entire T side died going through DD on aztec because of 3 nades..
playing my ps3 for the first time in a month and half (cause i didn't take it to college with me) does wonders for the eyes. after watching grainy movies online, blu-ray is a blessing. after playing starcraft exclusively for a month, the heavenly sword demo is a godsend...
oh, all on my 60" 1080p :P
