This game is missing the key elements of story - an interesting protagonist who has a quest, purpose, goal that matters. Why are you trying to get to the center of the universe? The game lacks a compelling antagonist - in this game, it is nature, but it appears to be repetitive and boring. Finally, a story needs an arc - increasing tension, a climax and resolution.

Yes, my 11 year old son loves it, and it is appropriate for his age. For me, a once hardcore COD and Halo player whose thumbs aren't what they used to be and with limited time for gaming, Battlefront provides some good casual FPS fun. When I look at time played and level or enjoyment; it was well worth the purchase of the game and season pass.
Here's my take:
Sony is not forcing anyone to do buy anything. I plan on sticking with my PS4 - that I've put a 2T HD in and my Blue Forza Edition XBOne for awhile. If they start coming out with games that only work with the new consoles or look bad on the current ones, then Sony will not get my money on those games.

Exactly. People were jet packing to the top of hills and spawn camping. Very frustrating. I will wait to read the reviews and player perceptions to see if these issues are fixed before picking this game up.
I just got the Forza bundle too - really like it. I'd rather put the money difference between that and the elite toward more games rather than getting the elite.
Loved the visuals, but the guy just stood on the outskirts of the map and fired across the map and killed everyone. Without it being "Star Wars", I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy it.

MS is not going to be able to overtake Sony this gen, but recent changes are going to close the gap. MS is doing some good things. I'm happy about this because I want both consoles to do well enough that both MS and Sony stay in the videogames business.

It appears Microsoft shot themselves in the foot and crippled themself for this entire generation. Despite MS making some really smart moves lately, their initial mistakes are continuing to prove costly. The PS4 led out of the blocks, and seems to be only gaining momentum.
The generation is far from over, so we'll see. It will be fun to watch, and more fun to play the games!

It seems you cannot adjust the difficulty on the tour levels - only the single race. Since you can't tweak your car and turn on things like ABS and stability control, having some difficulty options would be nice. So far, I am fine with the smaller less powerful cars, but in a Ferrari in the rain, it takes everything to not spin out.
Sony will not release games for free that are on PSNow - which are the games most people would want. Why give a game away that they can make money on?
Xbox is using back comp and better gold games to win customers with the idea of playing downloaded 360 games on the xbone.
MS needs to win some customers, and Sony can afford to not be as competitive in this area because of their lead so far this gen.
