You don't understand... bless. The article is saying there are no 'must-have' games... it's not an article about 'what's the best of a bad bunch', games.
To expand: The PS4 has no 'system-sellers'; no must-have experiences or timeless gaming classics. The PS4 is a system that currently sells on the play of engineered hype and the promise of third party mediocrity and hollow experiences that only look 'nice', like Knack and Killzone....

The reason why I won't get a PS4. I mean the Wii U has a massive touchscreen and all kinds of crazy things going on - What excuse does the DS4 have? Along with the thumbstick issues and it's obvious Sony is using worse than 7 year old tech on DS4.

The golf fans seem quite satisfied with the wii u version of Wii Sports Club golf. Not in to it myself, but I hear good things about it. It was recently updated with courses from Wii Sports Resort too.
Meh, Nintendo don't need cheap dates like you. Go buy a 101 games in 1 TV system and let the true supporters fund and play MK8.

*I say company, but they're more like an artistic movement with a philanthropic like philosophy focused on creativity, art and pure fun. They refuse to fully commit to a 'sold down the river for profit' commercialised attitude - like almost every other company on the planet.
Hardly the end of the world, and I couldn't care less. The game doesn't need it.
But it's funny the two games you mention received no where near as much praise for visuals as MK8 is getting.

I feel most sorry for those people who have publicly trolled the Wii U and must be absolutely gagging to play this game.
But because they've invested so much of their identity into trolling Wii U, they simply cannot pick a Wii U or this game up because it would be like admitting they are complete morons.
Imagine being one of those people now - it must be horrid for them.
When every single preview describes MK8 as stunning (or similar), you know it's something special.
On the visual side, this preview even says they have TOO MUCH detail, lighting and graphical effects in places. The graphics as so good, they're too good? Insane.

Why is this news? Rendering 3/4 different views and players on the same screen... isn't it obvious? Hasn't this always been the case for every 3 to 4 split screen game in history?
Almost seems like someone is trying their hardest to invent perceived bad news about today's stunning MK8 bonanza... but this is N4G so that definitely will not be the case.
This is only only 15 months in to the Wii U's life, and into Nintendo's experience with HD - imagine what might be in year three and four.
I'm hoping with the more experience they themselves get, the more their development tools and documentation improve, so third parties get get ports looking and performing better.
April fools jokes are supposed to be subtle so that people believe them for a second or two. What FB tweeted was just obvious trash talking.
