I dont disagree with that notion. I always buy at least 2 consoles every generation. This E3 gave people reasons to either solo it or purchase it as a second console.
Nintendo doesnt need to win this war .. They just have to come out of it breaking even or setting up for future success. E3 was one step Nintendo took for the future along with possible profitability.
100% of what they showed was exclusive .. You wont be able to play any of the games they are releasing anywhere else. Also each of the games they showed on the show floor was playable an ran at 60 fps locked and the majority of them arent even complete yet. A lot of them are due next year lol .. so they will look even better on release.
80% of the games coming to the ps4 and x1 are coming out on the PC and can be played with better frame rate and graphic fidelity.

Not all those games are even exclusive to that Sony or even MSFT they also get ported to PC... BF Hardline, COD AW, Assassins Creed, Batman, Mortal Kombat, GTA 5, Tomb Raider, Fary Cry 4, Starwars Battle Front, Criterion Game, Project Cars, Dead Island 2, EA games and more I have not listed.
I watched the show from a PC / Wii U gamer POV and what I saw from both MSFT and Sony didnt impress me as much as Nintendo strictly because I will have access to roughly 80% of the games ...

BF and Farcry aren't even exclusive titles. Everything coming to Nintendo is 100 percent exclusive to the platform.
Ninendo did something positive for a change and people still rip them. People can't just admit Nintendo held their own at e3 with just first party titles lol. They filled nokia theater with 2,000+ people...
Nintendo this gen just needs to find a way to break even and sell tons of software.. relax man it isnt ...
They had a conference just not a stage show lol... they arguably had the most visible conference of all the console manufacturers. Reggie said it best the delivered e3 straight to the fans. Also the prerecorded digital event caters to their non English speaking devs.

You forgot to mention splatoon a new ip, which arguably was the most played game next to smash at the conference. Amiibo could be huge depending on execution. Nintendo didnt even show fatal frame or Shin Tensi vs Fire emblem... Retro has been working on something as well.

Uncharted demo wasnt an open world with particle effects and active gameplay going on with a hud. Uncharted may be rendered in engine, but it didnt show active gameplay going on.. You cant judge a game by a teaser trailer like that.
So you are telling me you are completely fine with how Ubisoft presented the ps4 version of watchdogs on a PC and how it looked at launch on the PS4? When I see a game at a console developers conference to me that is advertising for how their game is going to run and look on their console. Buy my game because it looks and runs like this .. If it is on a PC you are being deceived on how well it will run and look.

You can completely blame them .. it is there conference.. They need to tell devs not to bring anything that isn't running on their platforms.... Again this is the watchdogs situation all over again. They show you something and when you get the final product it doesnt look like what they sold you on.

Whole point of a live conference by sony or msft is to show games made for the system runnin on the actual platform.. This is watchdogs all over again .....

Mario kart is 720p upscalled.. It still looks amazing and with Nintendos art style and magic im sure Zelda will look just as amazing..
I am not worried but it is clear Nintendo can squeeze more out of the Wii U if they stay with 720p
One thing Sony and MSFT forgot to mention is 90% of their titles they announced were multiplatform (Even tho they debuted during their conferences)... Alot of their heavy hitters will be on PC, which IMO is kind of a knock on how they performed at E3 (outside of most the top titles being CGI trailers and being released late 2015)

Is that big of a drop common with a lot of the big first party titles on other consoles?
Im pretty sure it will follow suite with most titles released on Nintendo .. 720p upscalled to 1080. I know wind waker was 1080p at 30 fps .. Nintendo can do more with the game at 720p upscalled than they could with 1080p.
But I could be wrong because they have a lot more time with the system and more experience optimizing it after all the first party titles they have released so far.
