Dont you think the 3ds version is nerfing the Wii U version a bit since the games have to have the same rosters and assist trophies? The Wii U version wont be MORE loaded than the 3ds because it is limited by how much content you can fit on the 3ds version to keep the parity.
I am kinda torn in that aspect because I feel like the 3ds version will drum up more press for the Wii U version.. I feel like if it comes out for the Wii U only it will be somewhat of a silent release without any build up...
I think it comes down to who is buying it. Because an argument can be made in reverse.. If Wii U comes out first wont there still be people who will just wait for the 3ds version rather than getting a Wii version? (or people wont buy a wii u for the gam...
You don't think having the wiiu in the holiday season while the 3ds is released months in advance isn't good for the wiiu?
Or are you saying delay the 3ds till after the wiiu holiday release?
Wait till there is a smash bro bundle with the roster peppered on the box. Also it would be smart to sell a pro controller bundled with the game.
Or the game isnt as physical demanding across platforms?
Well it has been confirmed so far that they will have 16 new tracks and 16 retro tracks so I am not sure why people are worried. The newer tracks im sure will be longer and have more detail. The retro tracks they had to work with an existing template.
@Neonridr
I agree completely.. The problem with this gen is that the jump just wasnt big enough within the launch window. Take for example COD Ghost.. If you have to tell me that the FISH AI was upgraded and you added arm hair... you were worried that we wouldn't have noticed. Also you see all these side by side images of prior gen vs current gen and about the only thing you are seeing is higher resolution and textures.
Second Son / Ryse is a good example...
As a PC gamer first I have not been impressed at all with this gen(so far). The x1 and ps4 arent doing anything my gaming PC hasnt already been doing. Outside of exclusive games I havent seen anything where I was like WOW I have been waiting for this moment. Also the titles are pretty much what we saw last gen with upgraded textures and better AA (right now)... On a PC Ive been able to do that since I build my gaming rig years ago .. like in Titanfall I can change textures to insane and add a...
@hollabox
You dont see yourself playing any indie titles or any other Nintendo title?
Target has a deal for the Mario / Lugi U Deluxe bundle for 300 including a 50$ GC ... plus you can buy refurib versions of the Wii U for 200.. You shouldnt have a problem finding on at 200 to 250...
2 games + deluxe system and free online plus 50$ gc is pretty good value IMO..
I dont know .. something about not having a controller or anything tangible in your hand just seems kinda odd to me (I know others will disagree) . I didnt really like the first game because of the lag on the kinect.. This one looks a lot better,and needs to play better than 6 / 10 if they expect to push units.
For the most part the have only been showing the retro tracks. So they still have plenty of tracks to show.
Ya MK is on the decline.. Let's forget it sold 35 million copies on the Wii...
Mirroring the screen doesn't take any resources according to devs.
We don't even know what the game offers in battle mode ??? Maybe there will be a Mario chase feature like in Nintendo land.
You do realize on PC ingame chat BLOWS.. every single competitive gamer uses Vent , Dobly Axon, Team Speak, Skype or some alternative means to communicate because party chat system in games really sucks.
To me since I primarily game on a PC and bought a Wii U for alternative fun games I cant get on other systems it isnt that far of a stretch for me to use other methods to communicate with my friends. To me I could just load up skype on my ipad and or phone and call all my bu...
In game party chat quality sux in tfall ... Which is the reason me and my friends use vent, Dolby axon, and or Skype (I assume you connected the dots and realize I play on PC).. We use alternative chat software like party chat would work on x1 / ps4 (I wish Nintendo would provide that feature, but we all know they wont)
Also it is quite possible that having voice chat from a tech standpoint eats up resources. Maybe to squeeze those visuals at 60fps they didn't include it....
I agree.. outside of a party chat system which Nintendo has never supported on its consoles.. Not having public voice chat is fine... Im playing loads of Titanfall and cod and have yet to hear anyone say anything other than try to be annoying or talk smack..
not saying it is acceptable not to include it .. but IF you really needed it you could load skype or ventrilo on your laptop or phone to get it.. But it isnt a buy or not buy decision for me.
Unless we are talking about party chat which nintendo consoles have never supported I dont see this as a big issue. Non party voice chat has never really been used in any game I have played online other than kids cussing people out or other being annoying.
I am playing Titanfall and I have yet to even hear anyone using voice chat. Voice chat is nice if you are organizing private matches or something but outside of that it isnt really needed.
Again I agree it...
The reason this could drive Wii U sales is because it includes all of the modern day features we expect of current gen games like online and amazing graphics with 60fps.
It has online features including two player online co-op racing with up to 12 players and Mario Kart TV to share your fastest race is as well as miiverse integration. You are getting all of the above in addition to 4 player split screen Grand Prix mode as well as 4 player battle mode. Single player + local mu...
You should ask him why Bayonetta was so blurry and ran at an unstable 30 fps with a sub 720p resolution on the ps3.. And why the Wii U version of the game had no problems outputting it at 1080p (most likely rendered at 720p not confirmed yet) @ 60 fps with a lot more eye candy?
Lets also take into account Need for Speed Most Wanted which by all accounts ran and looked better on the Wii U ... And Rayman Legends... The Wii U did all this with less support than the ps3 and x360....
