Battle Mode is back, but Nintendo explained that it would be a little different. Instead of arenas, the developers decided to take new and existing courses and re-engineer them for Battle Mode’s frantic style of play. I played a quick match on Moo Moo Meadows, and I consider this was a positive change.

Battle mode on normal racing maps is very disappointing.... Hopefully they are hiding battle arenas. No idea why they got rid of arenas huge let down ...
Yes this could be done In the Wii version.
Sales wise im not sure it would help it recover to be honest.. but to create a bit more differentiation it might help quite a bit... I think over time with enough punch behind it people would connect the dots.... I doubt they would do it but just a thought..
They should start phasing out the Wii in the Wii U... Call it the Nintendo U from now on and create some separation in the minds of consumers.
You do realize this changes nothing about how me and you watch the event at all? This year they have youtube and twitch streams so it wont have the lag issues it had last year...
Also they are holding a freaking tourney for the new smash brothers on the Wii U and letting people play that version at Best Buy as well... You do realize at the last E3 they held a private showcase for the gaming press as well as having all the developers on hand at the even to discuss there games...
People keep forgetting all the indie games coming out end of this month and next ... Also dont forget Bayo 2 is most likely coming out between Mario Kart and Smash. The good part is we are actually getting really good games this year vs the previous.
Not sure I fully agree with that... Marketing isnt going to magically make people choose the Wii U over the Ps4 ... Perception is that the Wii U is very weak when compared to the X1 and PS4.
Marketing it more wont change the appeal / shortfalls of the system.. Just because you yell more doesnt mean more people want to know what you are yelling about... Outside of exclusive Nintendo Content there isnt anything the Wii U can do that the other systems cant do better. I understan...
If Nintendo wants to rebound by the holiday season they need to make sure somehow that there arent any normal Wii's on the shelf to confuse anyone.
Also they need to officially make the MSRP 249.99.. Few retailers are starting to mark it down to 249.99 anyways or offer some type of incentive like GC on purchase. If they set MSRP at 249.99 it would give retailers the flexibility to get it down to the 199.99 price point everyone is begging for.

There isnt an experience on the X1 RIGHT NOW that you honestly couldnt get elsewhere... Their flagship title is Titanfall which is on the 360 AND PC...
Of the newer gen consoles PS4 and Wii U are the only systems to own honestly .... They are both going to get very good first / second party exclusives and they are both very different.
Right now I am rocking the PC / Wii U combo .. dont regret it one bit and am looking forward to MK8 , Smash, and Bayo 2.

If you beat Super Mario 3d world in a day you must not have found all the stamps / stars in each level... I keep holding out on beating the final stage until I find every star and stamp.

The problem with that now is that all the systems are HD. So all of them are going to be making great looking games with varying levels of detail.
I mean how many of the first party Nintendo games on the Wii U can you say look bad? Most all of them looking very very good.. Nintendo is still making amazing looking games.

Hopefully going into E3 Nintendo has realized that things have not been going great for the Wii U the drop some bombs for existing users and potential adopters (Hopefully they show up).
At this point ive been more than happy with what I am playing. Anything else I guess is icing on the cake .. hopefully N...
MSRP 249.99 + Mario Kart 8 = possible win... At this point they really need to push hardware sales anyway they can.... If they price drop / bundle now and knock e3 out the park they could get back on track by year end and snowball with smash and bayo2...

The vita does have a lot of advantages over the Wii U like the screen and being able to go truly mobile .. One thing it cant do is play games remotely at 60 fps. Remote play is limited to 30 even if the game does 60.. So games like COD or Rayman cant be enjoyed the way they were meant to be .. and if you are competitive at all you cant play any twitch shooters.
But I agree I would love the range to expanded on the Gamepad to allow you to go more...
I really dont get some people .. Just because the pad doesnt have exclusive features in ALL games doesnt mean it is useless.. Unless you own one you dont fully realize how useful offscreen play is.
Offscreen play to me personally is a really good feature and justifies the existence of the pad imo. I know others will disagree , but I think some people undersell its novelty.

Hope that Is sarcasim I'm detecting lol. They had a big presence at last years e3 outside of a stage show lol... Tons of game stations and a massive booth... Not to mention demo kiosks at best buy.
