I think people have this misconception on how good next gen is going to look. Being mainly a PC gamer I can tell you that next gen is literally going to look no better than what PC has been doing for the last few years.
Also PC has been taking ports of console games and just uping the resolution , AA, and texture quality. I am sure that is how it will work when taking a game made on prior gen and moving it to next gen. CODs engine was made for prior gen so thinking it was go...
I do agree that Nintendo needs to be more proactive with its other franchises ...
Also one thing people fail to realize is that Mario Galaxy , Zelda, Starfox, and Metroid actually dont sell as well as Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and New Super Mario Bros...
What Nintendo is trying to do now is pump the base with games they know will sell console units. After which I imagine they will start releasing those other franchises to help sustain growth.
People knock on Nintendo for doing it but Sony and MSFT have been banking off the same franchises as well.. One thing Nintendo has going against them is they have been making games longer than both Sony and MSFT.. So of course you are going to see more of their franchises over time...
People dont give Nintendo enough credit for actually changing their gameplay mechanics on most of their franchises... Ya they do have some throwback games like New Super Mario U or Mario Kart ....

300 is actually a good price when you actually breakdown what you are getting... For parents and even core gamers you are getting bang for your buck if you can use all your old controllers and games..

Nintendo was able to weather the failure of the virtual boy and the perceived failures of both the n64 and Gamecube back to back.
He doesn't fear failure because he learned that to succeed you have to be willing to put your neck out there and possibly fail.
I dont see a problem with what he said.. Nintendo has always found a way to persevere no matter how grim the circumstances are. Iwata may not be doing the best job , but he is staying true to what Nint...
You have to realize the most risky and innovative things are done without fear of failure. Arrogance is a lot different than confidence.. They believe in their ability to make innovative and fun games.
I just really hope the Wii U starts to turn around come holiday season... With the releases that are out now , I still feel they dont have much momentum going into the holiday season.
They said previously they did this remake because it was going to take a while for Zelda U to come out.
Watchdogs , AC, Cod, Lego Superheroes, Just dance 4 come out between then and now.

I personally think devs would rather shoot for 30 fps with alot more eye candy than have a game at 60 fps with less.
Not likely that someone would settle for a Wii U if they couldn't get a PS4 or X1...
That scenario is more likely occur if we are talking about a parent who needs to have something come Christmas time.
Sony Ouya is what it is ... It will detour people from buying the Vita.. The Vita is already doing somewhat poorly and this being just 100 less with ps4 future proofing might mess up future sales...
Ya it isnt portable but it still detracts.
To be honest the sales will pick up once the price drop hits and the first party titles start pouring out the gates...
At 300 you will get a Zelda game or Nintendoland, Free online, backwards compatibility, motion gaming, and Miiverse... If you pair that with Wii Party U which comes out shortly you get another GAME plus a Wii Motion plus controller for 50 to 60 $...
So at 350 bux basically get 2 controllers , 2 games, and free online. You can add a pro contro...
I am more of a PC gamer than console really .. I love Nintendo because it gives me games my PC doesn't have..
So I pretty much much have a PC to give me some of the games MSFT will release on PC (Titan Fall) along with RTS (Startcraft 2 and whateveR).. Then I got my Wii U for Nintendo first party.. and a PS4 to cover me on Sony first / second party.
I will prolly skip X1 or wait till the newest Halo comes out to make a decision.

Pretty solid bundle If u pair it with Wii party U. You would get the deluxe plus 2 games and an extra Wii remote plus for 359.99. For new Wii owners that is crazy value... You could get 1 more game or a pro controller and spend 400 total the price of a ps4.
IMO Nintendo really needs to stop selling the original Wii all together... If you look at the sales numbers for the past few months it is almost on par with what the Wii U is doing...
Ever person who buys the old Wii is a potential customer lost for the Wii U... I personally think confusion at the store would be gone at that point if customers only had 1 choice...
Getting rid of the basic and going to one sku with different pack in games will help sales as ...
forgot free online and backwards compatbilty... That has a lot of value also.

Doesn't multiplayer actually lower textures and some other items to get the engine to run at a fluid 60 fps when compared to singe player?
