The last thing Sony needs to do right now is come up with asinine ways to use the DS4. Sony's first party devs need to focus 100% on quality game design and content, which has been sorely lacking from their exclusives thus far.

All I want is Banjo. There hasn't been a quality 3D platformer with big open levels and exploration in over a decade. FFS, it is time.

Considering that he is ostensibly over a thousand years old, I'm more interested in his actual origins. The plot is The Order didn't do anything for me, but there certainly is a lot of material here to work with.

I played all the big games on the Wii U and it just wasn't for me. When I look at the coming year of games, I knew there was no space in my life for the Wii U, so I have no regrets about selling it. I can't tell you how excited I am for games like Bloodborne and Persona 5 on the PS4, and I have a ton of stuff to play on PC and my 3DS, so I'm covered.

I hate to say it, but the Wii U is kind of a niche console, and I'm just not in that niche. But I'm sure t...

I don't know about open world, but I'd love a 3D game. It's crazy to think about it, but I'm actually unbelievably sick of 2D gaming right now because of the indie-game revival that has spread like wildfire over the last several years. I miss the types of 3D games we used to get in the N64/PS1-era, and early PS2/GCN gen. I'd love to see those types of games come back.

I'm actually more hopeful that a new Banjo-Kazooie and/or Conker will help bring bac...

I'm hoping Bloodborne and P5 will signal a return to form for Japanese gaming, but I'm worried they are simply an abberation, as From Software and Atlus and two of the few remaining Japanese devs that continue to produce games I enjoy.

It's crazy to think of my gaming library from the PS2 gen and before--it was made up of 90% Japanese developed games. That number has completely reversed over the last two gens and maybe 1/10 games I buy are now developed in Japan....

Pokemon Y and Alpha Sapphire, Animal Crossing, Shin Megmai Tensei IV, Link Between Worlds, MM and OoT, Luigi's Mansion, and I'm planning on picking up Fire Emblem, M&L: Dream Team, and MH4 at some point. Probably a few games I failed to mention.

There were three Wii U games I really enjoyed: Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, and Wind Waker remake. Following the release of those games I played the system a lot, but other than that it was essentially a paperweight. A few weeks ago I decided to sell it and I bought a New 3DS. I've already gotten more value out of the 3DS than I ever got from the Wii U.

I get that some people like it, but for me, the Wii U was a complete disappointment. I didn't care for the Gamepad, I fel...

It is true that the PS2 moved units early on because it was the cheapest DVD player around. But the reason it became a monster was because it had arguably the greatest software line-up in console history when you consider its quality, quantity, and variety. A lot of my favorite games from that gen were GCN or X-Box games, but any self-respecting gamer knows that when taken as a whole, the PS2's line-up was insane.

Agreed. I think Nintendo hit their peak during the first half of the GCN's lifecycle. Late-N64 to early-GCN Nintendo was amazing.

Or the Gamecube, for that matter.

I didn't find the story confusing, I was just surprised by how incomplete it was. And that goes for more than just the story. The entire game felt like there was no one at the helm, making decisions and trying to mold a cohesive experience. I just felt like a bunch of different ideas stitched together and given a really nice coat of paint.

Just out of curiosity, what did you think was different about it? Just wondering since we had such different experiences--throughout my playthrough I just kept thinking how overly familiar everything felt, as if I was just going through the motions. And before I get accused of not playing the game, feel free to check my PSN: TotallyBreakfast.

It should be worth it once you can actually subscribe to a stand-alone app. I don't watch a ton of TV, and HBO Go provides more than enough for me. Tons of great shows, and a decent revolving line-up of movies.

The disagrees don't bother me, but can any of you at least list a CI Games title that received international acclaim? If you're going to disagree, at least show me that I'm wrong. I just can't think of a game they've been involved with that was met with praise from critics of the gaming community.

Why would they wait for GDC to announce a PS+ game that is over a year old and was met with lukewarm response by gamers and critics alike?

"Internationally acclaimed game developer, publisher, and distributor CI Games..."

Has CI ever released a game that was met with international acclaim? Or even just plain acclaim?

That's what is so strange about this site. So many people are quick to express their love for a game that is a perfect example of everything wrong with AAA gaming. I just hope N4G doesn't represent the gaming community at large.

That was one of the most well justified review scores I've ever seen. I'm glad that at least most critics actually care enough about game design and thoughtful storytelling to give this game the scores it deserves. I'm still genuinely concerned about the future of gaming to see people (but mostly just on this site, oddly enough) who think this is actually a well made game.

I agree. Also, I'm not sure why, but I really dislike huge sprawling worlds in third-person games. If I'm going to be exploring a big ass world I just prefer to do it in first-person. I think that's why I don't mind the big spaces in Bethesda's games.
