I'm glad that Nintendo/Sony console never happened too. I don't think the gaming industry would have gotten to where it is today without the PS1. Sony really went for the more mature audience which is something Nintendo would never have done.
If you didn't like UC4 then you clearly don't like any of the UC games in general so I don't understand how it can be a disappointment. If you did enjoy the previous games in the series but didn't like 4, then there's something amiss. Out of all the games 4 had the tightest combat. 1-3 must have been a disappointment for you too.
Maybe they're not down voting his opinion but just didn't agree that the campaign was enjoyable??
I picked up BF1 the other day on the 12 deals of Christmas sale. I've only done a bit of the campaign and what I've played so far I've enjoyed anyway. Overall I do regret buying it tho as I completely forgot how much I absolutely suck in BF mp games.
That was my first thought too, Ellie giving birth to an immune child that got taken from her. I don't want Joel to be dead. And when ND say they're doing fan service with this game, I don't think he will be killed off before this story begins.
Going by that trailer and knowing that Kojima always uses in engine cut scenes this is going to be one of the best looking games we've ever seen. Can't wait to see it in action.
It would be hard for anything to top TLOU 2 announcement. I can't wait to see gameplay. Hopefully we'll get our hands on it before the end of next year.
I have a love hate relationship with SFV. It is fantastic but there's still some gameplay related things that drive me insane. I really wish capcom would patch out the invincible anti air LP a lot of characters have. It's infuriating getting into a game against someone who constantly uses it knowing that you can't effectively jump in on them for the whole match. I'm fine with it when normal attacks can anti air if timed right as that takes skill, but against some characters yo...
Yes, I agree, visually it looks absolutely amazing. That's not where Polyphony have fallen behind. More than anyone I'd love to see Polyphony knock it out of the park with GTS but there's just so many things that completely need overhauling in GT. Sound fx, sense of speed, career and most importantly a good damage model.
He may have been 3 years ahead of his time using HDR on the PS4, but unfortunately the game itself hasn't evolved in more than a decade. Yamauchi and Polyphony really need to bring their A game with GT Sport and get back on top.
I don't think so. I think Ellie is as much a main focus as Joel. From watching the trailer (about 100 times now) I've been trying to think about what kind of scenario that would relate to what little we've seen. All I'm getting is that, it's all about someone very close to Ellie that she wants to get revenge for, so I'm thinking she got pregnant, gave birth to an immune baby and the fireflies took him/her to try and get a vaccination. Either way, I cannot f****ing wait...
Same here. There's been so many highly anticipated games that didn't live up to expectations and nothing has blown me away yet this gen, exclusive or 3rd party. Even with what's already been announced, I'm excited for what's coming next year too, but at the same time don't feel like I did, for example, seeing that stage demo for TLOU first time and thinking holy shit, I need to play this game now. I hope there's some big bombs dropped at PSX.

To be fair, Gears is one of the best mp games of all time. UC4 single player is without doubt on another level and not much comes close but for competitive mp Gears takes it hands down. I'm still enjoying UC4 online and looking forward to trying this out, but if given the choice I'd take Gears over it any day regarding online.
@princejb134: I think Ubi just tend to bite off more than they can chew. The first AC was a major let down and they didn't achieve what they aimed for, but AC2 was amazing. Same with WD. I haven't played 2 yet, but again, the first was a letdown and 2 is getting highly praised now. They seem to get ahead of themselves with their vision and never hit their target. But once they get the groundwork done and move on to a sequel, it usually turns out great. There's no excuse for this ...
I'm not usually part of the Ubi hate brigade as I think they get more hate than they deserve, but this looks absolutely piss poor. I think this was coming anyway. Even in promotional trailers it looked a hell of a lot worse than the originals.
Copying is shit?? Let's suppose no one ever copied anything then? Fighting games would never have evolved past Heavyweight Champ, fps games would never have evolved past Wolfenstein 3d, racing games would never have evolved past Speed Race etc. etc.

Sales will inevitably level out. But when you mention a game like San Andreas pushing 20 million consoles, what will happen when GTA VI drops and the PS4 is at rock bottom price?? They'll definitely hit 100 million.
For single player, absolutely. One of the best games of the year. I couldn't get into the MP at all tho.
