So I do think it is good for the industry. But I do feel that most of the games running on this engine do look too similar.
I do like Silicon Knights early games. But it is starting to sound like to me at least that they want this game to be to be too good almost.

Not to mention you can program a game to detect for a harddrive and use HDD streaming if the HDD is present.
And if no HDD is present not to use streaming from HDD, both in the same code.
All 3 consoles are in direct competition with each other. This is just an excuse to make it seem like Nintendo is not the victor.

You are right, people do try to skew the news by reporting things that shouldn't be reported. It does work both ways though. And you are right it is usually the "fanboys" and not just the fans.

The thing is these comparison or negative issues type articles are the ones that generate the most heat. So obviously everyone enjoys them, so why is everyone complain...
everyone bashes Wii. It is more powerful than a PS2. And everyone seemed to love that console.
Wii will have its hardcore games as well. The new Mario looks great as well as other exclusives.
People keep saying give PS3 time to show it's potential. Why doesn't the same apply to Wii?

Based on release date alone the PS3 and Wii should be beating the 360. These 2 sytems haven't even been out a year yet. Everyone always wants the latest "toy".

Nintendo pretty much kickstarted the video game industry back in the Atari days. The industry may have died without them.

Micro and Sony should take notes. Nintendo is massively expanding the market. Something Micro and Sony want to do, but just aren't doing as well.

But sales in Japan are very predictable. Wii and DS pretty much ruling the roost.
