Many posts state that Wii should be compared to PS2 instead of PS3.
That is exactly what is happening.
Last gen PS2 sold the most when it was cheap, same as Wii
Last gen PS2 was most underpowered in hardware, same as Wii
Last gen PS2 had most sales, same as soon to be Wii, it shows no signs of slowing down.

Halo 2, GTA, and Madden were the best sellers last gen.
I realize that you can get Madden and GTA4 on PS3. But only all 3 will be available on the 360. These are already proven franchises.
Casual gamers will buy a lot of systems based on these key big 3 franchises.

XBOX Live really is going strong this generation. Always a lot of new content.
COD4 looked like one of the best FPS at E3 this year.
I think this has a lot to do with Micro and that 50 Million. Micro is really trying to push the fact that they have GTA4 at the same time as PS3
GTA was one of the franchises that really sold a lot of PS2 hardware. I think Micro is hoping that it will do the same for 360.
It is probably just all PR tricks.

The outdoor levels almost look real. The lighting and shadows are also phenomenal.
KZ2 looks good and has more stuff going on, but COD4 looks better. Just IMO.
I highly doubt either of these FF games will come out next year.
