My other story gets so many comments but bc it is antisony it gets pulled.
But this story stays up even though it is much less newsworthy. Oh I see why bc it has content than can bash Microsoft. Bc it deals with warranties and hardware failures.
Just look at the first comment posted and how many agrees it has. It pretty much says it all. Welcome to N4SG News for Sony Gamers.

Why drop the price of something by $100 if you "don't" want it to sell.
I do understand that they lose money on hardware. But software sales can make up for it. Then again I do realize that the hardware to software attach rate for PS3 is not very high.
It took DVD over a decade to overtake VHS. These HD movie sales make up less than 5 % of the dvd market.
It will take many years for 1 format to be the standard.
HDDVD does have a benefit to the movie industry though. It is cheaper to produce and disks can be stamped out on regular DVD lines with minimal upgrades. Blu ray is far more expensive to produce.
In regards to the price drop it is a nice deal but a bigger price drop I think would have...
you screwed up this gen. You made your architecture in PS3 so diferent that most third parties don't want to deal with the headache. A good example of this is Madden.
360 has ease of development with the XNA toolkit. And the architecture of 360 is very similar to PC where all games are developed on first. Then put on their respective dev kits.
If developers do have to choose a platform they will most likely choose 360 or Wii just based on the install base. A...
always makes the better Basketball Game.
Looks good. As well as All_Pro.
the cell can do GPU like functions. But this is nothing new. And it isn't good at them. Otherwise why add the GPU in the first place? It is no secret that GPUs are faster than CPUs at processing dumbed down calculations for rendering. That is the sole purpose of a GPU.
The cell in the PS3 was supposed to be a CPU/GPU hybrid. Just like the Emotion Engine in the PS2. The PS2 has no graphics card. This architecture is nothing new. Sony just likes to manufacture their own ...
and it isn't true. The GPU in the PS3 is essentially just an Nvidia 7800 GTX. It has big numbers on paper. But numbers on "paper" don't mean anything in real world performance. The shader model and polys in the RSX aren't efficient. They will most likely run at a max of 60% most of the time.
The Xenos uses a unified shader architecture that is streamlined for maximum performance. It runs at almost 100% efficiency at almost all times. A unified shader pipeline i...
All the PS3 fanboys need to get over it.
EA goes by the install base. That platform will be the lead. This gen it will be 360, almost every time. At least for now.
It was no different last gen. When XBOX got crappy PS2 ports of EA games. The EA games on XBOX always had PS2 graphics, only with better aliasing. It isn't a big secret that the XBOX was graphicly superior to PS2. But all the XBOX only owners always got subpar ports when the XBOX was capable of ...
America is the nuber 1 source of revenue for the Video Game Industry. With Europe at number 2.
Even if they do I wouldn't let it be known. Could be a PR disaster.
This Holiday season is bound to be the best yet for the 360. Especially with the Halo 3 card up Micros sleeve.
that Microsoft is owning in the software sales. Which is good bc that is where the real money is.
Hardware doesn't see a good return usually until close to the end of a consoles life cycle. There is the exception of the Wii. But that is really a first.
and I am sure they will both see sequals. On which systems is up in the air though.
hard to figure out that the 360 version will be the definitive one. Even the guy in the interview said that if you want the full experience to opt for the 360 version.
No need to get all salty. Both versions will be the same on release day at least.
both versions look identical.
If anything the week or two behind has to do with the PS3 architecture being difficult to code for. This is Rockstars first game on PS3 after all.
They have 360 experience with Tabletennis.
They have certainly hit a stumbling block though. I am glad they finally admitted to an unacceptable hardware failure rate.
The 3 yr warranty is retroactive so all past customers will get a refund. and all current and future customers will be payment free.
I think a lot of the slow sales are bc of lack of new big name games. Sales will no doubt pick up when the big hits start arriving next month and in the Holiday season. Especially with Halo 3 right around t...
I just stopped leaving fanboy comments and got bubbles. Can people give Madden some bubbles? I left him positive feedback.
Lets show some love.
it was an HDDVD fan trying to make it seem as though Bluray isn't seling well.
Since those BD movies won't be counted as sales. Just as a loss or shrinkage.
can lead to better games in the future. Companies probably pay big bucks to put adds in video games.
This will give game producers more revenue for new IPs and hopefully better gaming experiences in the future.
This increased revenue could be especially beneficial to smaller companies that don't have huge budgets.
is just making excuses. All the engines they use are oudated. It looks like all the Tombraiders run on the same engine.
They are just pissed bc now they have to upgrade to new or modified engines for the newer hardware. This will cost them a lot of money.
Their games are everage at best anyway.
the PS fanbase to do a mass market forced push of their Blu ray format. Which caused the PS3 fans to absorb the added costs in the high pricepoint of PS3 and blindside the install base.
And how do the fanboys react to this trickery?
With thundering applause.
And for everyone that disagrees, I would like to hear your rebuttle. I guess the only rebuttle you have is pressing that (-) feedback button.
Why do all PS3 owners even care? ...
