Could be true. But Crysis is a lot more open ended. So for Crysis to achieve Gears like graphics is more impressive in my opinion.
Not that I care but this whole website has become biased. All of the top contributors are all Sony fanboys. It is no secret. I have submitted probably 100 articles to this site and my CRank has never gone up. Most were approved, and received high degrees.

If it wasn't for PS3 Blu ray would be dead. PS3 makes up 95% of BD players.
If you want a high quality BD Player I don't recommend the PS3 anyway. Check out the Samsung BD-P1200. It upscales DVD9s to near high def using a new technology called HQV processing. Far superior to PS3 upscaling and it is same price as PS3.
I use my console for games could care less about movies on it.

These format issues always cause a flamewar. HDDVD=Toshiba, not Microsoft.
HDDVD and Bluray will be around for over a decade guaranteed. HD media is about 5% of the market right now. 95% of consumers are still buying good old DVD-9. These new medias have been out over a year and have only captured 5% of the market. So basic math tells us at a rate of 5% yearly it could take two decades for it to become mainstream.

The Gamecube was more powerful than the PS2. The Emotion Engine didn't have a graphics card.
The GPU in both other consoles was far superior.(XBOX and Cube.) Just bc you like a system more doesn't mean it was more powerful.
With the Wii being estimated at over twice the power of the Cube. I would say that places Wii at well over twice the power of PS2.
