I think it is highly possible Wii could take the lead. Only bc the casual games market is huge and the Wii pricepoint is at a mass market $250.
Microsoft will see a huge sales boost bc of Halo3. After all it does have millions of preorders. Plus all their heavy hitters are coming in the coming months. The $50 price cut will also place 360 at the same mass market $250 price....

In regards to Stranglehold. I wouldn't expect much for the 360 or the PS3 version. Midways games have been on decline for years. It will most likely be average at best. Hour of Victory was awful. As well as most of the newer MK games.

Just to let you know 3rd parties have no allegiance with any system unless they have a contract. Kind of like the David Jaffe deal with his studio for 3 PS brand games.
MGS4 was anounced exclusive but there was obviously a deal of some sort. Companies are about making money not pleasing fanboys. MGS 1 and 2 were on PC to make more profit. Part 2 was also on XBOX. My guess is that Snake Eater was exclusive to PS2 bc the ins...

I think all these mainstream ads will greatly improve sales for both the 360 and Halo 3 this holiday season.

The casual gaming public is the majority. Hardcore people like us on N4G are the minority.
There is a reason why games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma don't sell 5 million copies despite being a great game. And companies like EA and Activision are number one in sales. Not bc of great games bc of casual gaming.

If a game doesn't fit on one disk they will put on on 2, 3, or, 4. Big freakin deal. Including PGR4. There are other racing games that are multi-disk.

Why do all the PS3 fanboys come into a 360 thread touting they will get the PC version. Microsoft will be glad to take you money on either platform.
And I highly doubt most PS3 fanboys are PC gamers. PC gamers are educated about technology. They don't fall for marketing BS.
The arcade hardware is based on an Nvidia chipset(Lindbergh) and is very similar to PS3. This is one of the main reasons it was PS3 only initially.
For it to look better on 360 at all is only a testament to the ease of development for 360.

the hype for Halo 3 is justified. It is one of the most popular online console games of all time. And has developed quite a following.
I wasn't even into FPS that much until the Halo series. All the haters have probably never really played it online. The matchmaking system really is in a league of its own.
One thing is for sure. This September XBOX Live is going to be on overload.

I always think it is funny when I see Dark Sector on a list. That was supposed to be a 360 launch title and it still isn't complete. Shots of that game were the first screens I ever saw for a 360 game all the way back in '05.
