I hate EA as a game producer. The same games every year with different box art and updated rosters.
NFL 2K5 was just giving EA a run for it's money. That is why they bought the rights to the NFL. Truly pathetic.
Props to 2K for finding a loophole to produce another football game. And shame to EA for destroying healthy competition which breeds good games.

I am a huge fan of old school RPGs.
One of my favorite RPG's last gen was Skies of Arcadia on Dreamcast.
hrs seems like the average for most hack-n-slash type games. It is a good length as long as cut scenes are not included.
For really long games that is why there is the RPG genre.

I do not hate PS3. I think they have lots of interesting games coming out. I enjoy games on all consoles all the way back to the Atari days.
I also think that Sonys first party studios are very talented.
I am just bothered by Sonys overhyping of their products. That is all.

HDDVD was on the market a year before PS3 was released and selling. Even better than Blu ray players are now.
Blu ray and/or HDVD are not industry standards. It is a lot different to place industry standards in a games console such as cartridge, CD, and DVD.
If you can't see that Sony put Blu ray in PS3 to win the format war you are either blind or a fanboy.

A PC with a directX 10 video card will make both the 360 and PS3 look pathetic. Both consoles are oudated basicly.

in Devil May Cry is horrible. All the enemies are just there to perform cool combos on them. Fodder for flash.
You can beat the whole game without using block and button mashing.
Try that on Ninja Gaiden and even the first enemy can kill you.
Ninja Gaiden beats DMC in every category even on XBOX. Graphics, AI, story, challenge, etc. etc.

I agree with Itigaki. Quick time events do suck. They take you completely out of the gameplay. Just bc it is Heavenly sword does not make it any different.
The quick time events are used to give different camera angles to make the game look really cool(just like God of War). They are no different than replays. Just a tad more interactive.

Why can't they just build on the merits of their own products instead of using the competition as stepping stones?
Noone will stop the momentum that is behind Halo 3. It will outsell all the competition this Holiday season. No matter what propaganda is spread.
