Halo is a great game and no matter how much hate you spread it will still sell like crazy this Holiday season.
It has a loyal fanbase that is only growing. The best matchmaking system of any online game to date.
There is a reason why Halo 2 is still nuber one on XBOX live and it is the pure fun factor.

The first GTA was on PC only. That is where Rockstars roots are.
GTA2 sold the PS2. The PS2 didn't sell GTA2. 3rd parties want to make money. Not give fanboys wet dreams. That is why Tabletennis was on 360. And why Bully is coming out on 360 and Wii.
To make profit. Rockstar was around long before the PS and the XBOX. 3rd part exclusives are by contract. Usually with a monitary bonus involved for the 3rd party.

This isn't even the same scenario. As COD4 and all other 360 games are compatible with the core. Microsoft has stated this many times.

They are still making games for it over there. Granted just a few a year. Most of the arcade games released there are on the Naomi/Dreamcast arcade boards.
A lot of SNK fighting games are released on Naomi hardware as well as a lot of top down shooters. Which are both very popular in Japan.
A lot of Indie developers are also releasing games on Dreamcast even now.

For all the haters bringing up the core 360. This article doesn't even apply to the "Core" owners.
It is referring to people who have XBOX live to make sure you have enough space on your HDD to download the demo.

And also a lot of the top contributors prefer PS3. I think the site is Sony weighted if you look at the amount of agrees and disagrees comments get.
It is also possible that the PS3 community is more vocal but I doubt it as PS3 type articles are always hotter than XBOX or Wii stories.
Even the hottest XBOX 360 news is still usually negative news towards 360. Just look at the weeks hottest.

I think price is one of the most important factors to consumers. With the PS3 price drop increasing sales.
Not to mention the Wii has been in the lead for sales ever since it launched at the $250 price point.

Yes PS3 sales have improved and it is a good thing. It is healthy for the market for 1 console to not dominate. It breeds competition.
There really is no point in a preconceived domination of PS3. The Wii is outselling both the 360 and PS3 on a daily global basis.
And has been doing so since it launched.

UE3 looks good but CryEngine looks more realistic and pulls off the better effects.(lighting, shadows..etc.)
It would be more fare to compare games with the same art style. Epic games are more Sci-fi in nature.

PS3 is improving Blu ray sales but not to a significant extent. There are almost 4,000,000 PS3s out there. Blu ray should be crushing HDDVD. There shouldn't be a 60/40 split.
I read in an article that less than 13% of console purchasers watch movies on them.
The Playstation generation has most likely been catering to a very similar demographic of users.
AKA the same 110 million users. Not the exact same but similar I am sure. Without the market expansion the Industry would have most likely gone stale.

Developers can be more creative on their hardware bc development costs are far cheaper.
