The Metal Gear name will continue on just not the "Solid" part. This will please both Kojima and Konami.
Kojimas series will still be PS brand exclusive. And Konami can bring out a new Metal Gear series for all consoles to make more money off the Metal Gear name.

With the 360 having Mass Effect, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey this year no other consoles lineup is as appealing to me.
All lineups will be good for Christmas but if you are an RPG fan 360 is looking really promising this year.

I don't have high hopes for this game anyway. Midways games have been on the decline ever since the Dreamcast days. All the 3D versions of MK were horrible And their latest winner was Hour of Victory with 2/10.

I don't know if HDMI makes that much of a picture difference. I do have an HDMI port on my television. But currently I am not using it.
Main reason is that my stereo receiver does not support it. Do not feel like upgrading receiver for new one. Or splitting up the connection.
The only minimal differences you will see is solely bc of the PS3 Nvidia GPU vs. the 360 ATI GPU. The 360 may have better aliasing. It is after all a port.
The only difference will be in the framerate. 360 will be at 60FPS. And PS3 will be at 30. 360 version will just appear smoother in actual gameplay.
I haven't seen it lately. I'm sure you can find it but the premium makes up over 80% of sales.

For all the fans on the PS3 side. People buying PS3 just for Blu ray is not good for gaming. It will give the PS3 a low games attach rate just like the Wii.
If people buy the 360 HDDVD add-on it means that they are interested in games as well as movies.
