It sems like everyone just wants to buy DSs and DS games. No matter what the DS always outsells all other hardware. There is going to be a shift where there is more Japanese support for handhelds I bet. The new Dragonquest (DQIX) is only being released on the DS. Instead of PS3. Not to mention that SquareEnix has also said that both PS3 and 360 are too advanced for the market.

Isn't it funny how the only developers tha tout Bluray as needed are Sony's first and second parties?? How come almost all third party games are on "1" disk for both consoles.
I will agree that certain console exclusive games that take advantage of the hardware cannot be done on other systems. Note...that is only in "their current form" They can always be recoded. And as for storage limitations you can always use more than one disk.

that Haze will appear on 360 and PC. Companies need to recoup their investments. And the PS3s low install base and poor games attach rate will surely not be enough. To put things into perspective Madden sold more on the 360 than the PS2 and the PS3 combined.
Not to mention that Ubisoft is a multiplatform publisher. I could see Ubisoft publishing a game on 360 only like SC:Conviction only bc of the high install base and also agames attach rate of 6.2%.

HD DVD has consistently sold more dedicated stand-alone disc players than Blu-ray, and stand-alone players have a much higher attach rate of discs sold (PS3 owners are more likely to buy the unit for games than for Blu-ray movies). Taking the long view, if this trend continues, HD DVD could have a growth surge that eventually surpasses Blu-ray.
You are right. Many reviewers have commented on the poor color scheme of PS3 games. Lair is a good example of this. It probably has something to do with the GPU the PS3 uses.
As for Tiger looking better on 360. It comes as no suprise bc it is a port to the PS3. As ar most other 3rd party games

It's probably some PR cr@p so Sony can try to move some PS3s this Holiday since their games are getting subpar reviews. A smart decision to market it like that but they wouldn't get an exclusive unless they forked over some $$$$$.

works for Nvidia. He said the 360 dev kits are actually better/easier to get games up and running than for the PC. For PC you have to code for lowest common denominator=all the low end PCs and GPUs as well as the high end ones.
Just what I was told but he is a pretty reliable source.
As far as PS3 goes UE3 is optimized for PC architecture so getting it to run on PS3 is probably a pain.
