Don't think I can do this one. Absolutely loved AC 1 & 2, but I got tired of Ezio and a second go around in Italy with Brotherhood and couldn't finish it.
Been on my second playthrough since the PSN Blackout. One of the best shooters this gen.
It's a new console. What's not to be excited about? I would greatly welcome a super duper HD 60/120 fps God of War 4.
A BIG thanks to Nintendo. Because of this new console, the next gen can officially begin. Not much longer for the PS4 now.
I still think Sony should go ahead and release the PS4 within a year or so and give the PS3 the PS2 treatment by still supporting it for 5+ years.
Everyone will be happy.
And they were right. MAG is garbage.
Never really followed the Socom franchise, but first MAG and now this. Sony should just go ahead and drop Zipper from its roster.
I thought the beta was rather lame myself.
I guess some people will play that way just to prove a point.
But then, what is the point? Crysis' gameplay is all about you using your tactical options to essentially wipe out your enemies en route to the checkpoint. How you accomplish this is up to you. The levels become larger and have more enemies the more you progress. Once you trigger the firefight, especially on supersoldier it's a couple of hits and you're a gonner. I see no fun in running through a g...
As you pointed out, it's all subjective. Yes Killzone was a smoother experience and had pretty much flawless graphical technique.
But I would also beg to differ about Crysis 2's enemy AI. Play it on Supersoldier and it ain't no walk in the park. I also felt that the variety of ways to complete your tasks in Crysis was a breath of fresh air as well. Run n' gun, stealth, flank etc...
As someone put it in another thread, Killzone is more of...
These games have way too different of a style to really compare them. Killzone was a cleaner experience and very polished, but Crysis def had more diversity in it's scenery and most of it was stunning.
I actually thought it got better as the game went on.
Story was terrible (both games), but I enjoyed Crysis 2's campaign a lot.
Still gotta play the game first before throwing out a GOTY tag myself... but the fact that it's completely different from the bombardment of shooters coming (1st & 3rd person), could make it the darkhorse.
Works just fine for me. Not sure what the problem is. Maybe need a better internet connection?
*EDIT*
To add to the PS3 version... I have noticed ZERO hit detection lag, whereas when I had the 360 version it was a miserable mess. I find it very coincidental considering everyone is bashing the "inferior" PS3 version. Quite the contrary in my experience.
Oddly enough one of the first things that comes to mind is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the PSX.
Not even really a skate fan but those games made all nighters. With some smoke of course ;)
DLC maps are never in the rotation with the maps that come on the discs either and this a big turn off for me. One of the reasons I can't justify buying these.
The fact that it's free is a good bonus though and was a nice thing for GG to.
Couldn't care less about MP in Uncharted. Single player's where it's at.
Wasn't a huge fan of Portal until I really gave it some time after getting through the Half Life stuff on the Orange Box.
As mentioned before, the fact that the first Portal was so awesome while remaining a relatively small project, Portal 2 has nowhere to go but up. Easily going to be a good experience there.
I mentioned in another thread a few days ago that I thought that Crysis 2 was NOT the best looking PS3 game after being a couple of hours into it.
After near completion though, I'm not fully sure that I was correct. Crysis 2 has wowed me on multiple occasions now while being a completely different experience.
It's all subjective really. Both look great.
It's fun to see all of the whining PC fannies screaming foul over Crysis 2 because teh dummed it down for teh sub hd consoles!?!?!
Meanwhile me and countless others are enjoying an excellent game on the PS3 and 360. Funny stuff. The game looks great and is flat out awesome.
Thumbs up Crytek.
Playin' RDR on the PS3 right now actually... had it on the 360 before I sold it off...
I'm actually having a real hard time trying to play this thing with the R2/L2 triggers for aiming and shooting. Bad decision by R* imo.
