Nothin' quite like unboxing a brand new console... bring on the 720/PS4 and I'll be in line fo sho.
It is a shame how the PS3 version of this was given the shaft, but COD has always run & played better on the 360 so it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise.
After playing both versions the difference is really night & day. This late in the current gen and it's really inexcusable. Especially with it being the biggest game release and having a huge budget to work with. Activision need to step up and stop playing console superiority and hold the devs acc...
Definitely feels like a giant step backwards in every category with the exception of having somewhat better hit detection.
Other than that, the Infinity Ward fallout is obviously apparent here.
Treyarch took World at War and improved on nearly everything for it's successor in Black Ops. Aside from some poor hit detection at times, it has the best interface, best COD game menus, best sound, stat tracking, harder to achieve Pro perks, bigger maps etc....
Infinity Ward took MW2, added a few new killstreaks, slapped a MW3 on the box and called it a day. Seriously, after the complete package that Black Ops was I cannot believe people are defending this mediocrity. ...
Aside from the somewhat spotty hit detection I think Black Ops is better than MW3 in nearly every way. Treyarch really stepped their game up to compete with Infinity Ward.
Not really sure we should expect a lot from IW after all of the firings and whatnot. Hopefully they respond well but I don't think I've ever seen a copy/paste title like MW2 & MW3 is.
That's just it though. On PC. Console Battlefield 3 just isn't in the same league as Modern Warfare. I'm sure @ 60fps on the PC with those pretty graphics it's incredible.
Most of us game on consoles however and it's really no contest.
Well, take your pick. Run around like a headless chicken on smaller maps where the action is fast, intense and always on the move... or run 300m across plain desert just to get rubberbanded and sniped.
I do fairly well @ Battlefield 3 but the fact is that Modern Warfare is just a better experience for those that don't want 1/2 hour matches where 10 minutes of it is spent getting to where the action is.

On PC? Maybe they have a point, don't know and don't care as that isn't my gaming platform. When it comes to consoles however, COD has this thing locked up.

Like anything it's really all subjective, but as a gamer who plays nearly everything on the hardest difficulty setting, Dark Souls has and is still being a complete pain in the ass to get through.
It's worth every penny for those who enjoy a rough challenge, but I'd say stay away to those that simply don't have the time & patience to put into it. Save that dough for other games that might appeal to you. Dark...

This is the worst shooter I've ever played. Gave the beta another chance and the game is just pure hyperbole crap. Slow gameplay, laughable graphics, a completely uninspired map and campers galore. In other words, Bad Company 2. Yeah, sorry folks, this series aint even in Killzone's league let alone Call of Duty.

Well the beta gave me the easy decision of a no purchase that's for sure. As much as this game was hyped and for all of the MW3 is MW2.5 crap this sure isn't much different from Bad Company 2.
Completely agree. MP was a total snoozefest.
MW3. More intense, fast paced action with more game type variety (against BFBC2 anyways). But I will be keeping an eye on BF3 as it does look interesting.

I just don't understand hardcore portable gaming I guess.... hope they don't spend the majority of their time on it and show more of the PS3 exclusives in depth.
