For being over a year old and me being completely new to the franchise, I have to say that Yakuza 3 was an absolute blast. Def. in my top 5 so far this year.
Better around the fall/winter imo. Especially if you live in an area that gets tons of snow and bad weather, not much else to do except for delving into some killer new AAA games. Last winter was awesome.
Can't stand that for some reason.
No doubt this is going to be incredibly bad ass
but would be interesting to see where they go with it nonetheless. I'd like to at least see the white & silver PS3's available in N.A.
Of course I'm a fan of the game and I understand that graphics aren't always everything, but seriously though, if we as gamers aren't concerned in any way about graphical enhancements, then why the hell are we forking over lots of cash for these fancy new HDTV's? You tell me.
The PSN demo coming soon is supposed to be upscaled to 1080p and I'm definately going to check that out, but even so if there not willing to do a full on HD remix in all it's glory (regardless of how long i...
Sorry, take the time to do it right. A few graphics filters aint gonna cut it for me.
Especially if a Gamestop near you still has one for $29.99... killer deal at that price.
That just doesn't make any sense really when you think about it... why would the usually superior PC version of a multiplat be acceptable to perform/look better yet, the PS3 & 360 has to basically mirror each other.
Same goes for Wii multiplats... you don't see devs dumbing down a PS3/360 version to maintain equality with the Wii right? I honestly think it's just the newer technology that devs aren't fully capable of dealing with just yet (whether it be due to budget const...
but the falcon chip certainly didn't do anything to stop it first time around and until this Jasper model is proven, it's still risky business.
Enjoying both consoles myself, whenever I get asked the question from a friend/co-worker on which one is the better option, I think it's really a no brainer to recommend the more robust PS3 for those exact reasons listed.
No, there is nothing wrong with a great multiplat at all, which makes the decision even easier as the days of terrible ports are all but over, regardless of what those "Lens of Truth" comparisons show, you're getting a great game either way (assuming t...
The only question is, will the game itself be any good? It looks pretty but in the IGN videos I saw of some of the gameplay it looked like the framerate was doing some chuggin'.
Hopefully it'll be a winner, not a weiner.
and fits in better with an entertainment center. The white 360 looks a bit out of place with a shiny black HDTV and speaker setup (Elite looks a bit nicer).
Only problem with the shiny piano black is that it attracts dust too easily and the chrome front gets the water spot look after a while.
A Black Matte PS3 would be perfect.
Yeah, the PS3 version of Lost Planet pretty much went straight to the bargain bin from what I recall Lol.
Not a great one either. Needless to say, not really excited about this one with all the other blockbuster titles in the pipeline.
there better damn well be at least an attempt to tell a decent story. I'll take a great SP campaign over a repetitive multiplayer shooter anyday of the week. It can be lots of fun in moderation but I just find the simple idea of playing "paintball" in a videogame with no back story rather bland. Let's keep the focus on making games more of an art form shall we.
/rant, Lol.
that thing looks terrible imo
After taking a significant amount of time to build and optimize MGS4 for the PS3, they now won't have to start completely from scratch as you would assume that most of the building blocks are already in place for their next game on Sony's console. I'm fairly certain that Hideo and his team know that hardware like the back of his hand.
Even as outstanding as Killzone 2 is, I still think that MGS4 is about as close to perfection as you can get. That game had absolutely zero tec...
that a dude I work with has actually stated the fact that he's bought 3 (yes, 3 of them!) without buyers remorse and still swears by the 360.
Don't really know what else to say about that Lol.
has become quite the bandwagon to jump on these days.
It's all a matter of personal preference, and that's fine. I think a well told story that is done in the linear sense can quite often be much more enjoyable than having to spend hours and hours of having dialogue with NPC's.
Both ME2 and GOW 3 are stellar games... but in my opinion I have to say I enjoyed GOW 3's pacing and non stop action when all was said and done. Regardless of it's linearity.
