A damp squib is a dud. Seems like the most disastrous launch in videogame console history is more descriptive.
Other sites are reporting there are many more reporters covering the launch than there are buyers. One interview, there were 6 reporters in the store and 1 buyer.
This has to go down in history as the worst video game console launch ever in Japan.
Private Nelson douche presenting another weak douche app for XBO. The douches don't seem to help the XBO yeast infection.
Gamescom is in two weeks. Sony has usually chosen Gamescom for at least one major hardware announcement, like a Slim. Then, usually a couple weeks after Gamescom, they do a $50 price drop. Sony has historically done $50 price drops. The one skill that gamers fail generationally to appreciate about Sony is they are an engineering company and they constantly streamline production processes so operating costs are decreased more and more over several years.
The booing was probably more for showing an advertisement for the Xbox Live version of the bundle in front of a bunch of PC gamers. But don't blame it on just PC gamer elitism. PC gamers had to live with Games For Windows Live (GFWL), a thankfully faded history of one of the worst things shoved up PC gamers' rear ends. GFWL now stands as a historical travesty in the history of PC video gaming.
Xbox fanbois in denial. So funny. Always have to pull up the blubbering comparison through tear filled eyes "buh...buh...buh...Sony too!".
This same CEO has said the Xbox future may be mobile. The difference between MS and Sony is that MS is starting to show every indication it will be leaving the console video game market. The Japanese launch is already a disaster and this CEO isn't like Balmer, willing to gloss over disasters. Then will be introduction of the ...
Destiny Beta main download is 13.2GB, only took a few minutes here. Then, the install begins and the first thing is the DLC, 10.2GB and that is slow. Was going to give Activision credit for the initial download but it looks like the DLC is coming straight from Activision. At least, both networks are up. The install screen is a slide show of concept art, just beautiful. It is the scale and scope of things being shown, it is staggering.
This is after making a big deal about how XES was going to have its own channel and its own shows.
The xbox fanbois keep talking about how MS keeps it cards close to its chest and how there is always a magic rabbit coming out of the hat any time now. Total denial.
We all know the Japan launch is going to be a disaster. The Chinese market has already said they are much more interested in the PS4. This whole year has been one long train wreck for MS and the Xbo...
Another load of turd from IGN. The better question is "What happened to IGN?".
The sad little fact about the current state of video gaming is all the other devs and publishers step aside at the end of the year and let Call of Duty dominate. It will be no different this year, and Advanced Warfighter looks like changes in good directions. Last word a month ago was Ghosts had sold over 11 million. Kotich is a dick but he laughs all the way to the bank and never has to show up at any stinky, smelly, BO gaming convention.
It gave dispatches.cheatcc.com more click throughs than they have ever had a wet dream about.
The facts are from E3, being over a week ago and already futzed up, is that the Open Beta begins July 31 and with three titles:
Dead Space 3, God of War: Ascension, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Sony ended by saying the price structure was still TBD. Those are the facts right now, not some obscure gamezine website. It seems like Sony will have more to say...
Yoshida-san said on the stage at E3 that PS Now pricing structure hasn't been finalized. This pricing structure that people are venting about is another "insider" rumor.
The fact is PS Now open beta is at the end of July. Sony will give indications or announce price structure around that time, probably saving the official announcement at Gamescom, after a month of the open beta. It's really a waste of time distressing over these "insider" "pre...
Crysis 1 was a pretty good game, the story wasn't bad and it was kind of a first for north koreans as enemies. The game engine was a mind blower back then.
It would seem they would have done better or Ryse really took them under, since they are looking for a cash infusion. They are a third party studio but they have acted like a second party studio for Microsoft. Crysis 3 was kind of a dud, some spectacular graphics moments but the gameplay somehow got more stale than Cry...
Could not be said more succinctly.
The recent comment about how development was done seems to indicate Sony isn't too far from a launch announcement. Having it on the E3 show floor shows those are close to being production prototype. Everything seems to indicate a release date and price at TGS.
It wasn't that many years ago, although it seems like eons in computer time, getting game trailers at all was a huge effort. Almost everybody was requiring a membership just to download snippets of upcoming game trailers. The bandwidth was a fraction of what it is today. Gametrailers was one of the newer sites that made it easier to view game trailers as well as original side commentary shows. Things keep changing and Gametrailers hasn't really kept up. Most trailers are being streame...
The real hilarious irony of this commercial is that it is the first one advertising the No-Kinect Xbox.
The commercial is messed up all the way around. It is to introduce the $399 XBO without Kinect, but they have Aaron Paul using the speech recognition with Kinect. Then, there are tiny print disclaimers during the commercial that Kinect is not included with this version of the XBO.
Then to top it off, the commercial designed to sell more XBO without Kinect, ...
It's actually PS Vita TV, it plays Vita games directly in a cartridge port. It is also set up for PS Now with potentially 3,000 PS3 games. It also allows playing the PS4 in another room on a different TV in the house. The mainstream news is calling it a micro-console, a better description than just a TV box.
The street luge game looks so cool. Too bad Morpheus isn't ready to launch but if they are playable on the show floor, it must mean close to production prototype. The big news at E3 that is kind of being missed with all the whining and complaining, is how many titles signing up for Morpheus. Eve Online PS4 with Morpheus working as a demo seems to indicate the development is becoming mature. Maybe a launch announcement at TGS.
"I'm sorry I was a damp squib tonight, honey. I'll get it up tomorrow, I promise. There's a firmware upgrade coming. Get it, firmware?"
