I don't think they specifically wanted to aim for the haters. It's just the nature of the times they they come out and complain
And that isn't even necessary unless you are buying digital games.. Buy physical and you may never need additional storage. I didn't need an external on my Wii U for the first 25 games I owned before I started buying digitally. I won't need an SD card on my Switch for a good long while. I guarantee 32gb will last longer than 500gb when buying physical media.
On a side note: If someone were to buy a number of smaller SD cards, say 32 or 64gb, and download a...
The $1 was for the enhanced version with save state and Wii U gamepad support. I'll give you that, but they played fine in Wii Mode without additional cost.
1) If you rebuy games ever, that is your problem. 2) Virtual console didn't exist before the Wii. Those games seamlessly transferred to the Wii U. DS games can be transferred to 3ds. If you don't take the time to transfer them, then just play them on the original system.
@undertaker85. your link seems to say otherwise.
"The ability to transfer content from one Nintendo system to another is possible in most situations." No where in your link does it say you have to rebuy anything. just that prior to the switch, you can't transfer between home console and handheld systems.
We don't know more...just wait before spouting off what you think is fact.
We don't know the specs. Just stop until you have facts. And just to get out ahead of this, just don't even after you have facts, because you'll probably omit facts to prove your point anyway.
There are no hidden costs. Everything you need is in the box minus a pack in game. Did either of the other consoles launch with a pack in game for $299. Price is well known at this point, at least in Japan and U.S. Paid online, perhaps, but this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone since both PS4 and XBOne both have this. I probably won't pick up splatoon 2 for this reason.
No hard drive install perhaps but loading screens may never go away. Loading screens put content into memory. Depends on the bus speed among other things. Don't get your hopes up about loading screens going away.
Gaming isn't that expensive. Just keep it.
This shows what patience can do. Not being an early adopter is great if you can do it. Would be a valid comment for either of the three consoles. No gaming droughts...ever
Why would anyone regret it. It's not like you don't know what you are getting? I wouldn't expect that from any console, including a Wii U at this point. It's just a dumb statement, and judging by the amount of comments, a clickbait article.
Exactly. I don't get it either. Makes no sense to me to include one in the switch.
If the point of the switch is the option to play off screen, I see absolutely no reason to include an Ethernet port on the dock, and even less of a reason to include one on the console. Ideally undocked is just a drop in resolution and otherwise equal experience.
To quote the Joker, "if you're good at something, never do it for free."
It's a fair price. Charging for a game isn't the problem. Out Mai be the solution to begin to undo the damage the free to play. Model has done too gaming.
if true, I think perhaps a combination of a technical problem than ensuring this is a switch launch game. maybe they will do like the gamecube and release a bit later. Even without BOTW, my Wii U purchase is more than justified several times over.
What nintendo offers could be free, enhanced features/performance could come with a cost. I think people would be OK with having 2 tiers of online, one being paid. Basic multiplayer only should be free
Basic multiplayer should be free, but an enhanced version could be made available for additional cost. That would be fair as long as there was sufficient benefit to pay for those that want things like party chat, ability to set up rooms, etc.
Nintendo trolls will continue to move goalposts and look for reasons to complain...again and again.
The point is the line is being blurred. there really isn't any reason to have the distinction anymore. It's either the most powerful handheld console of all time, or the first home console you can take with you. At the end of the day, they are both game consoles.
