If it does, it's going to be interesting to see how the competition reacts to it. It can be nothing but good for the industry to continue to evolve in new directions.
How about someone write an article about what the industry would be if Trolls suddenly became fair and objective gamers? Now that would be something.
That doesn't answer the question addressed in the article. How about making relevant comments? K
Agreed. The only thing I would add is that if the switch takes off, people may consider multiplats on the switch and not PS4 or XBone. This would be a perfect storm. Being able to take the game with you(or just off TV when you have to share the TV) can be a huge game changer. We've been chasing console quality with handheld for years and this is becoming a reality. Personally, if the game is on the switch, I'll get it there, if for nothing but off tv play.
Battery is fine. Get over it already. Stop worrying about this being successful and contribute to its success by giving it a chance and enjoying the games.
They simply went a different direction with their console, to maximize mobility, likely going forward. How do you expect them to offer backwards compatibility without an optical drive, exactly. Instead of just bitching, please enlighten everyone to your solution.
Digital games are not a problem. Wii games transferred to your Wii U. DS games transferred to your 3DS. What exactly do you think happens to digital games. Having to rebuy your digital games is a myth, unless...
How many games would you honestly buy and play within the first month?
If he traded in his games, then he is expected to buy them again, if he wants to play them again.
No! The industry needs Nintendo to be Nintendo.
Simply because I don't believe them to be mediocre. Each system has their own benefits/weaknesses, and unfortunately, most don't understand, choose to ignore, or oversimplify the details in an effort to make one sided comparisons. I don't compare consoles or judge them on what other consoles are doing, so I simply take each separately for what they are, not what they aren't. It's called being fair. The Switch looks like a quality system.
I've ...
I would never reveal the full specs at any point if I were nintendo or Nvidia. It's like never showing your cards after everyone folded in Poker. Just don't do it. Let the games speak for themselves. There is nothing good that could come out of releasing this. People don't generally understand what they mean anyway. People can't grasp that cart based games don't require installs and 32gb can easily be compared to a 500gb HD system, and continue to focus on this as so...
For $299? Why can't you just buy a 256 gb sd card? It would be cheaper than what the price of the switch would have to be to accommodate this totally unnecessary level of storage. All digital download is your choice.
We'll have to wait and see at this point, but the potential is there. Seems to me that the performance may be good enough and with the mobility aspect, I wouldn't be surprised to see this concept move forward. Similar to laptop PCs vs Desktop PCS. the gap is narrowing as to what can be done for the money due to law of diminishing returns. The Switch may prove that now could be equivalent to that moment when console games finallly overtook arcade machines for graphical quality an...
We always want more for less. Nintendo will be making a profit on each console sold, sure, but they are entitled to that, as a business. There is a lot of tech here in a small package. Why don't we all look for reason's to buy something like mobility, off tv play, hybrid system, joycons, HD Rumble instead of thinking of daily reasons not to buy something. Everyone will be happier for it. If you want to play wired, you have yet another option to do so. Playing on the whole mobili...
Any 3rd party games available on both will be purchased for the switch. I absolutely will choose off tv play options over resolution every time. Don't have a PS4, but I do have an XBone, so I do miss Sony exclusives,
I'm still Rocking a 720p set. Damn thing won't die. When that happens, I'll get a 4k set. or maybe a really nice 1080 set as they will be super cheap.
no, it doesn't. You can use it however you wish, which is the payoff. Off TV play in and of itself should NOT be discounted. It is the best feature of the Wii U and now the switch, imo by far. So happy it remains on the Switch.
You want Nintendo be like the other two....well you are getting it, but in their own way. Give it a chance.
too bad we don't know anything about it. Please wait for more details. You might just be surprised, but don't expect it to be a clone of the other two.
Us? Just speak your opinion without includng us all in your statement. Motion controls are great if done correctly, is what I learned. Too obviously tacked on and forced, not so much. Hopefully every game has control options that make sense, including motion. Motion controls for shooters can be amazing and I, for one, hope we never lose them.
