Open world is great, but make sure areas still have purposes in the story. When I see a detailed area with no discernible purpose, it just seems a waste of resources that could have been used to polish the game.
What exactly would be the benefit of revealing everything now? so you don't have to wait? Are you not enjoying the endless speculation videos and articles. Embrace the hype train, ride it comfortably into 2017.
The problem arises when a developer restricts review copies for certain games, typically due to a lackluster effort to gain sales. I have no problem with wholesale restriction for all of their releases. I actually like this stance.
It's not like they lied about it. not sure what else they could have said to convince you it wasn't going to be made.
I remember, but to me this just feels different. NIntendo is making significantly better moves this time around with the marketing.
Give Nintendo a chance to rebrand themselves. They understand the stigma they have of being a family machine and how they are portrayed by those that buy games. They are trying to shed that if people will let them. focusing on the 18-35 crowd is smart as they are the ones with both interest in gaming and disposable income.
My favorite parts of the system, games that play from disc negating the need for a hard drive, off tv play, free online, gyro for aiming, complete backwards compatibility. It's unfortunate it didn't catch on as it was a great system, IF you valued those things. Consumers and developers alike just just didn't care about the performance trade offs in this power hungry generation. It was a valiant effort by amount of games Nintendo pumped out to try and save it, and I'm glad ...
I have to agree. how many times did we witness the 3ds support from nintendo cannibalize any momentum the wii u would get. Even with smash bros, it came out on the 3ds way before it did on Wii U. Luigi's mansion 2 exclusive to 3ds. We complained that 3rd parties were putting their titles on everything but Wii U, but Nintendo did it to themselves just as often. I guess I understand if there are games in development that need to be released for 3ds to finish it out. I also understand ...
Even now, you see stores that combine wii and wii U games in the same section. Not as much as before, when you would see them completely mixed together, games, accessories. No wonder people were confused. Target was the worst where I live. They didn't do that with MS or PS games. At least with this Switch trailer, they show someone playing the home console, then show the console, then show it being taken outside. Marketing was brilliant imo. People are still confused for some reaso...
So are we still led to believe that there won't be any games outside of VR that won't run sufficiently well on the old PS4?
Wait about 4 years and there just might be a lite switch for you. If youve never experienced off tv play, it can be a gaming lifesaver.
I sure hope they never stop.
How to convince the normals thinking the switch isn't exactly what it looks like, which is a tablet with attachable controllers. That's the real question to me. All of us here likely get it.
No one seemed to care about backwards compatibility before .Now it's a huge negative to to not have or for physical media. Probably saying the same thing about second screen and motion controls. Though I expect motion to still exist. You should have bought a wii u and enjoyed the games instead off trying to bring them down all gen
Depends on sales, if more 3rd party devs comeon board. So far, Nintendo is marketing this brilliantly. There is really little doubt from watching the preview what the system is all about. Much like the Wii advertising. Say what you want about the console, but the marketing was brillliant. Wii U, not so much. Time will tell, though.
Agreed. How many times have we expressed concern that Nintendo focused too much on handheld games, basically doing to the Wii U what most 3rd parties did by excluding the Wii U. They effectively cannibalized their own system. Assuming the 3DS is being phased out soon after Switch releases, without having to split the libraries, there shouldn't be any "droughts" Getting this on release, for sure. Nintendo is making the right moves here, and I'm excited for the possibilit...
So that when two people are playing together, each half is identical
I think probably none of that will be shown. Probably just the system in action briefly. I hope to get the name, because I'd like to stop calling it NX. Just enough for gamexplain to have a 2 hour video later this afternoon.
A fantastic and underrated game on wii u with great gamepad usage.
I don't like paying for features I don't need. I won't likely have a 4k TV for a VERY long time. Heck my TV is only 720p and 1080 p would be more than I can picture myself ever needing. It's like having a million dollar home, Sure it's nice, but the $500k home is more than I would ever need. I could buy two for that price and have two houses. See where I'm going here.
