They have the infrastructure to make this happen, but the question is, do they have the resources to do it? Unless they've been planning something for years, it's not likely anytime soon with the expense they layed out for PS VR and PS Pro. Seems they've gone a different direction.
Why is this so impossible for people to understand. I just don't get it. People here are so physically hurt that something can be popular without being superpowered.
Please stop the incessant trolling about the Switch being only a portable to proveyour gaming intelligence and/or gamer cred. It clearly isn't working. The fact that the Switch becomes whatever you want it to be, whenever you want, is its strength.
This is always such as lazy statement about every console. Wii U was what the Wii should have been, Switch was what the Wii U should have been. Whatever is next is what the Switch should have been at launch. How much would those have cost? The tech simply wasn't there. The switch simply wouldn't be possible without previous consoles. Remember how each console built on existing controllers and moved forward back to the early days of gaming consoles. Maybe Nintendo, or any consol...
What type of media would you prefer that would work better in such small form factor. I don't see how an optical drive would be cost/space effective. Have you looked at the teardown. there isn't much room for anything else.
That's typically the argument when something is not selling. Not sure your point here. Never mind, just realized my mistake and came back and saw your comment.
Exactly how would Nintendo prove that without 3rd party developers making the effort? We don't need graphical/resolution parity, just release date/marketing parity. How will a developer ever know why something didn't sell if with release/marketing disparity. We saw this with the Wii U. Late ports, major releases with zero marketing, silent releases of games. followed by complaints of not selling and dropping future support. everything snowballed from there. I've determined...
140 hours and I've never ran out of weapons. I throw out good weapons constantly. The breaking mechanic is fine. If it is ruining your experience, that's your problem. The game doesn't work the way I want; what will I ever do? I know. I'll write an article. That should make me feel better
Once major third party publishers pulled out, it was game over on Wii U. No amount of first party exclusives mattered at that point. Developer after developer released on titles for everything but Wii U, while releasing on last and current gen consoles. This happened enough that people were speculating on collusion and conspiracies against Nintendo. It was a frustrating time for a Wii U only owner, forcing many, including myself, to get an XBone just to keep gaming. Even having an XBone,...
Last I checked facts can't be considered fake news. Just let it be and move the F on. Clearly you're completely closed minded. It's new, its in demand. No one cares if something is a rehash or not. That was proven by the PS4 success. All the MK8 proves is that it is a great game. Have you ever argued about low Wii U sales? Well, perhaps this game wasn't purchased by everyone the first time around. If people are re-buying this game, then there maybe is enough to justify ...
Artificial demand is an unproven myth.
Perhaps your store didn't order enough. I'm seeing Switches on shelves.
Nice point. Very true about time off tv vs on tv
It did for me, but the Wii U didn't offer most a reason to overlook the shortcomings. The Switch still has much to prove, but the mobility and more importantly, the quality of that console AND mobility experience is intriguing in a way the Wii U wasn't for alot of people. I hope the momentum keeps up as I'd certainly choose the Switch version of games over my XBone. The main thing of note here is that the system being so versatile and that the experience is close enough to PS4/...
Curious, have you ever bought controllers for any other system? If so, how much were those at launch? how much are branded ones now?
It will never happen. Not sure why anyone would expect it to. Wouldn't really be a switch now would it.
For me, it boils down to having to share the main TV. I'd rather being in the same room as family playing handheld then tucked away in another room away from everyone. The Wii U off TV play greatly enhanced my gaming time and the Switch is doing that too. No way could I have hundreds of hours in games without off tv play.
You say that now, but it would be nice to know how it plays out after you've had the switch for awhile. Just being able to play off TV while someone is watching TV, or heck, while you are watching TV is even a thing that I use often for certain games.
I thought the point was simply to sneak around and take the shock arrows from the trees. That's one of the few lynels I haven't defeated. forgot about that one.
We already know that this is coming in a couple of months. Isn't the paid online supposed to have a feature where classic games have online play and the ability to purchase after a month? That would imply the virtual console is coming very soon.
