people wanted Nintendo to get with the times. There it is
Good article. Definitely worth a read.
Keep reaching. Maybe research next time.
After over 200 hours of gameplay exclusively on the Joycon(mostly attached to console or grip), I have a hard time paying for a controller I do not feel is necessary and could use that money for new games. If I need a 2nd full controller, I'll consider it, but not until then.
My only complaint about the grip is that it negates most of the rumble.
The fact that you are on a Nintendo article making comments like this completely disproves your statement. How many Nintendo fans show up on XBox or Playstation articles? How many Nintendo fans spout off fanboy this and fanboy that on those articles. Who's the cancer? Before calling people out and/or names, look in the mirror.
Goes without saying that at least 50% of comments will hate on whatever it is.
all good ideas in the article. Well done. Nothing deal breaking just yet, but some of these could be if not addressed by the holiday period.
Releasing a handheld only switch would be their exit from home console space
I agree, but there were some great games that don't deserve to die with the system.
Too many great games on wii u that deserve to live on beyond the life of that console. More games is always preferable. This doesn't have to mean there won't be many new games too.
Great?
I prefer Mii sports. Miis are their own brand at this point.
Nintendoenthusiast has proven to be more than fair and often critical to Nintendo content, when necessary.
kevnb. I'll say this and then I'm done. Having full control of the direction of your IP is critical to the longevity of said IPs. Allowing someone else to make small games, can balloon to many others trying this and eventually your IP can either lose its appeal or you lose control entirely. It is simply a precedent that shouldn't be allowed if you plan to maintain control of your IPs. If someone wants to make a fan made game, they should contact Nintendo first. if they say y...
Try buying the Wii U version, all of the DLC and see how much that costs you. MK8 Deluxe is a good deal. If you've already played MK8 to death on Wii U, like me, then it's a tougher sell.
I think that Microsoft is too firmly placed in the power game with scorpio and windows 10 to make such a drastic change. If anything, Sony could do it, since they technically have the bones in place with VITA and PS4 to eventually combine the two and produce something similar to the Switch. If the Switch proves long term successful, it is something Sony should consider, however, there is room for both ways in gaming.
iofhua.
Steam isn't a game IP.
and I was going to ignore this, but how do you figure Valve is THAT large. I'd like to see the source of your information.

How's Valve doing right now? They don't really even own their ips anymore. Do you see the problem?
My money goes on timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch. I think that upcoming Bayonetta amiibo is a major clue here. Can't just be for a Smash port on Switch and to fulfill a promise on Wii U.
I don't think it means to rush the games, but to not wait for Nintendo games to come out before developing for the system. If too many devs wait for whatever magic # of install base to begin development, we are looking at the same situation with the Wii U, where Nintendo has to go alone...It's dangerous to go alone.
