I hate how Amazon does the lightning deals. I have better things to do than keep tabs on whats happening on Amazon every hour in hopes that some game I want MIGHT be on sale at some point.

For starters, it's a video game. You can't look too deep into the story - not like it's up for any academy awards.
Talbot was a magician. Uncharted has explored the supernatural before, so who knows the power a guy like Talbot might have.

I already have BF1943, so I didn't really care about them not including it - what ticked me off was that they sold Medal Of Honor with a guaranteed spot in the BF3 beta, stayed quiet about it for nearly a year, and then said it would be an OPEN beta with MOH owners getting in only 2 days early. That was a total crock!
I can't keep enough HDD space to have a lot of digital downloads. Mandatory installs are the devil!
10PM is actually going to make it worst as far as a crowd goes. Most people will still be UP that late and dragging people along with them. At least at 5AM it takes a bit more effort as nobody likes to get out of bed that early.
But I'm hoping I can get in and out of there pretty quick. The only thing I'm going for is Battlefield 3 and a couple of blu-rays.
Walmart is still tops on game deals. At least, that's where I'll be spending my money.

When the "same old game" goes and sells 6.5 million copies on it's first day on the shelf, WHY CHANGE IT? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Besides that, look at a game like Uncharted. It hasn't radically changed over the years, but nobody is complaining about it. COD is the top dog, though.. so everyone is on it's case.
Kinda sucks they left out Bret Hart and Chris Jericho, but then Jericho just tweeted he would never wrestle for WWE again.. so, oh well.
Activision hate aside, I thought MW3 was a solid addition to the COD franchise. I enjoyed it. It was definitely a great $2 rental at the Redbox, which is where I got it.
I agree. It's like this - I wouldn't want a church going, Jesus loving, children teaching, school lady to review a movie like The Hangover.. she should be reviewing The Muppets.
These publications need to KNOW their writers better and base assignments on that knowledge to get the most accurate of reviews. At the same time, these publications need to let their readers know what kind of games the reviewer enjoys, so we can have an idea of what kind of gamer they are. ...
When it comes to games, I have gotten WAY more out of them this generation than I have previous generations simply because I was going for an achievement or a trophy and going after them, in many ways, I feel have made me a better gamer as I'm challenging myself beyond the storyline intentions of the game. Hate on them if you like, but a lot of people like myself love them and I will continue pushing myself to earn another and another, all the while getting the most of my $60.

It's your OWN fault for coming in and "accidentally" being exposed to it. That's like going to the local strip club to complain about the immorality and "accidentally" seeing a boobie.
I really don't think you can rate a game like this on a scale from 1 to 10. Kids either like it or don't like it. My kid likes it, so it's a perfect 10 in her mind and that is all that matters.
Maybe I've watched too much Dora The Explorer and Go Diego Go, but I have to admit, the game really isn't that bad. It's one of the better Kinect games I've come across.

I was starting to doubt PS Plus for awhile, but I really think PS Plus sucked this summer, because Sony gave it away free to make up for the hack job back in spring. Now that all those freebie PS Plus accounts are gone, they're really picking things up. Let's hope the great offers continue, because September was an awesome month and these are some great offerings for October. Makes me excited for what they'll do in November and especially December.
I have to give props to Epic for giving us the Gears Of War 3 beta WAY BACK in May. It gave them TONS of time to polish the game and the game is absolutely AMAZING! Even Naughty Dog gave us the Uncharted 3 beta back in June, months before the official release! This 3 weeks before launch beta B.S. is ridiculous. It's not enough time to really fix anything. EA and DICE had a golden opportunity to make a true impact and they DROPPED the ball. They have only themselves to blame.
I absolutely loved BFBC2 and played the hell out of it on both Xbox and PS3. I've had BF3 preordered and paid in full for months! But when I played the beta.. it just did nothing for me. I couldn't get into it. I don't know if it's the game or if it's cause my multiplayer has been focused on Gears Of War 3 since it's release, but I was very disappointed in the beta. So I plan on cancelling my preorder and put the money on Batman: Arkham City instead. I might pick...
PSN doesn't update till sometime between 4PM and 7PM eastern, which is when the beta will probably go live for everyone. That's not a delay - that's typical. On the flip side, XBL updates early in the morning, after 5AM eastern and the beta is already on there.

I don't play Kinect much, but when I do, I play it with my 4 year old. The Kinect Sports games, Fruit Ninja, Kinect Disneyland and Kinectimals have been great in introducing her to video games. So, I don't hate the device. But I'm not too fond of Microsoft for making the Xbox dashboard (and especially Netflix) all Kinect friendly.
