Ascension was a disappointment, but then, so was Fallout: New Vegas (to me at least), but God Of War 3, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 are all AMAZING. So, don't let Ascension throw you off - like New Vegas, it was a money game throw together to capitalize on a popular franchise. I'm sure they'll put a lot more effort and creativity into God Of War 4.
I play PS4 more than my Xbox One, but after the release of the "New Xbox Experience", I was really hoping Xbox would be #1 this holiday, because as long as Sony stays ahead of Microsoft, free backwards compatibility will never happen on Playstation. Sony has no reason to change anything for the better.
On the flip side, Microsoft has more reason to change things for the better.
I'm all for the ability to play any classic game - there are some gamers out there that will ONLY play the classics, BUT I've seen "classic game" consoles (like Atari) for sale at Toys R Us for like $25. And for that price, you not only get the console, but a TON of classic games that you can play FOREVER at no additional price. So I think Sony should make PS1/PS2 classics "free" to Playstation Plus subscribers... and I also think they should (and eventually will...

My 3 Uncharted discs were the only ones I refused to trade until I was out of money and desperate. I would love to play through all 3 games again - especially 2.

Red Dead 2 is all I'm wanting from them at this point.
Cheap deaths is what turned me off of the game, so I never finished it on PS3 - I was hoping they fixed that. Otherwise, I thought it was one of the funniest games I've ever played.
I'd wait for a discount on the season pass. Play what it comes with - get bored of it - then invest in a hopefully cheaper season pass and renew your interest in the game.
Microsoft is changing the game with all it's recent upgrades. Sony will soon follow. That's how it's always been. A constant cat and mouse game of one-up-manship. If the Xbox One is the top selling console this Holiday, we'll see this feature and more coming out of Sony sooner than later.
